Celtics were a good team this past season, but I felt there were many holes that they still have to fill

The two guys I would want to get is Crawford and Jordan.
Not really sure how it would be done. But I would sign Crawford for the MLE and get Jordan through a trade

Crawford is just the guy Celtics need. A guard who can come off the bench, score 25 to 30 points, create his own offense. And if Doc shortens the Big 3's minutes, he'll have more of a green light to be the team's go-to scorer on certain nights

Jordan is really the main guy I want (If not him, then maybe Marc Gasol)
He can score inside, can run the floor, grab rebounds, and has alot of upside

I personally don't think there should be a massive overhaul to change the team next season, but those two players would really strengthen the chances to get banner 18

They are the two guys at the top of my list as well.  Obviously, it might be tough to get Jordan especially, but I have hope!

I think we could get Crawford with the full MLE.

LOL Crawford is like the opposite offensive twin of Tony Allen
Really good at offense, but bad on defense, never put them in a starting role, better off the bench lol

Yeah but this team could really use some offense. Plus I'd like to hope that he'd at least make a better effort if the C's were to acquire him. That's probably a hope that would be in vain based on his career defensive efforts.

I'm of the mindset that players play better defense when they are on good teams that emphasize defense. I think if he was with us he would play the best defense of his career. He should sign with us as an investment.

If he signs with us and shows that he can improve his shot selection and defense he'll make a lot more money on his next contract.

Yeah, I think Jordan probably is not happening...unless they sign Nene or Chandler and/or fall in love with Green for a sign and trade (and honestly, Green might be a terrific fit for them).

As for Crawford, it all depends on whether Atlanta is willing to pay him.  My guess is they will, but at the same time, at some point they are going to max out, given how much they struggle to fill seats, and all the guys they have on long term deals.  If that is the case, Crawford will likely be looking at the MLE wherever he goes, and Boston has as good a chance as anyone to lure him.  He seems like he is fine with being a super-sub off the bench, and the C's have the aging starters that will facilitate a lot of minutes for him.

I thought the rumor was that Atlanta was going to move Josh Smith for salary reasons, this gives me the impression that they won't sign Crawford for big money.

Id love Jamal, he's exactly what we need off the bench - not Jeff Useless Green

Keep in mind the Atlanta ownership situation. The club is apparently about to be sold to new ownership (the Thrashers appear poised for relocation to Winnipeg).

New owners = new attitudes re: spending and personnel.

Maybe that is the rumor (I haven't heard it), but either way, it is just a rumor.  Last year the rumor was that they were going to let Joe Johnson walk...that didn't happen.  And Smith trade rumors have been around for a couple years now, along with Marvin Williams ones.

Basically, I just don't think anyone knows what the Hawks plans are...and that includes the Hawks.

Teague is their future ; its pretty much concluded Crawford is out
