Just picked up a signed Rondo Jersey off Ebay the other day and I want to fram that bad boy.  I have seen a few sites with tips for framing jerseys but wanted to see if anybody here had some experience with it.

Thanks

Most important thing, whether you do it yourself or take it to a professional framer, (which would be my recommendation - my Mom and Sis are both artists, so they do my framing for me): Make sure it's sealed from moisture ... moisture and dust are the number one enemy, especially if you're in a climate like New England's.

Also, there's nothing that makes it look better than it's own "pin-spot" shining it's light on it ... whatever the background or wallpaper, it should be fairly neutral in color, and the spot-light, (or track light), will make it stand out even more! Congrats on the nice acquisition ... you should share a pic with us when it's done and hung. ;)

More cultural differences on celtsblog......Mrs. Eja would cut my head off if I tried to frame a jersey and put it up in her house.

Haha, ya I was kinda surprised when the girlfriend went for it, but I did let her hang a picture of ballerina feet, something like this, but black and white

(she is a dancer) so I guess we are even.

And if I can get it to look pretty decent I will definitely post a picture.  Im trying to do this on the cheap though, so i don't think a professional is in the cards  :'(

Wow......so now you got me curious.   What rooms are these being hanged in?   Personally I think the bathroom is underrated.  You'll see it all the time, but nobody thinks what you put there is important.

But you definitely shouldn't put a jersey in the bathroom for multiple reasons.

Then there's dining rooms, bedrooms, basements

Well I live in a two bedroom apartment.  the second bedroom right now is set up as an office/sports watching room for when I get kicked out of the living room.  So it will go in there.  Along with my Empty bottles of Tim Wakefield's Caberknuckle and Josh Beckett's Chardon-k wines.

well the way the apartments works is Kitchen, Living room and Dining room are all one big open space.  So the feet are kinda between the living room and dining room

I don't know where in Boston you live, but I do know this guy who honestly does the best framing job I have ever seen.  I've had numerous things framed by him and he always does a professional job.  He frames for the Boston Police and big corporations.

He has a shop in Copley and one in West Roxbury.
