Pretty amazing stat, as Dirk went 24-for-24 at the stripe against Oklahoma City last night ... not to mention a total of 55 personal fouls and 79 total free-throws.

I won't get too deeply into all the implications it poses, but a number of those calls were highly questionable, to say the least.

I hope this isn't the start of a trend ... especially for the playoffs.

Awesome game by Dirk and Durant, but please, let the guys play.

Its really difficult to watch an NBA game sometimes.  So many fouls, timeouts, commercials that breakup the flow of the game.  How wants to watch guys shoot FTs all game?

I love basketball, but its MUCH more enjoyable to sit down and watch the NHL playoffs.

Yeah, I agree ... I love the continuity of soccer for the same reason. TP for the great screen-name ... one of my favorite words, (and most self-descriptive). ;)

I think he broke Pierce's record or something, didn't he? Pretty sure Pierce had 21 FT's in a playoff game without a miss, obviously now dethroned by Dirk.

Crazy game, though.

Dirk“s stats since Game 1 against the Lakers

30.3 points
8.7 rebounds
3.0 asissts
on 62/66.7/98.0

Not bad
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Yeah he did.

Disappointed but whatever.

I was shocked that he got 24 free throws when the team he was playing against has Durant.

Then I checked and Durant got 19 FT's and Westbrook 18.

What a joke to be on either of those teams

He also broke Nique's record for most FT's made in any game without a miss. (Nique was 23/23).

Maybe not so much when Pierce got the record (although I bet more than now) but I have to believe that when Nique was playing that you had to earn those free throws a bit more. I guess 24 attempts is kind of a lot now but in general so many guys in this league the last few years can get like 15+ FT's without much effort

Neither team plays much D, think the Champ comes from the East.

Mavs do play defense
WestBrook's 3-15 wasn't by mistake. Mavs closed the driving lane

If there are that many fouls and FT's is that really defense or is it just fouling your man every time INSTEAD of playing defense?

Westbrook didn't shoot well but he got to the line 18 (!!) times. That at least evens it out to mediocre defense

Yeah, you got a point
I'm rooting for the Mavs to win it all. The old guys Dirk and Kidd need a ring lol
