I agree with u Nick. I told a couple of my co-workers that there is no way that Minnesota will get the #1 pick and that Cleveland would get it. The lottery is so fix!! Look at Ewing with New York, Shaq with Orlando, Oden with T-Blazers and Rose with the Bulls to name a few. The big markets will get help and with James leaving the Cavs, u knew Stern would help Cleveland.

Duncan with San Antonio, Lebron with Cleveland,...

wait a second...

Don't forget to add WAS and John Wall after the whole Arenas fiasco.  I called that one.  Wasn't paying too much this year; still too disappointed by the C's end of season or this would have been an easy guess.

I'd go Irving and Kanter if I were them.  Irving will be tremendous and Kanter has huge potential.  It'd be a great start on their rebuild.

I'm 20 years old. I know from experience that Karma doesn't work its way out that perfectly. The fact that the Cavs won the #1 pick is just too perfect of a scenario for it to just be random.

Also, I was told that last year the Wizards owner wore the ring of her dead husband and this year the Dan Gilbert brought his ill son... Coincidences don't just happen like in movies in real life...

Coincidences happen all the time because so many things happen. If enough events happen, than we can expect events that look like poetic justice and events that look like gross injustice.

Also, if we fish for flimsy parallels like the alleged Wiz/Cavs one you mention that I can't figure out, we will be able to come up with contrived narratives to explain any potential outcome.

This is why it doesn't make a difference who wins the lottery or who wins the finals -- conspiracy theorists will be able to come up with rationalizations.

Yeah, and the "Patriots" winning the Super Bowl in February of 2002, just months after 9/11?

Totally, fixed, dude.

Assuming Irving goes #1, what do the Twolves do at #2?  Williams is the next best option, but the Twolves are pretty set at forward, between Love, Beasley, and Randolph.

Do they gamble on Kanter?  Can they get value by trading back?
Trade Kevin Love + Michael Beasley.

No, it makes perfect sense.

Instead of the Clippers having the number 1 pick in the draft to add to Blake and Gordon, they have Mo Williams.

But remember they got rid of B-Diddy in that trade.  Addition by subtraction.  Getting rid of that negative influence on your young players could be immmeasurable haha.
3 years of Baron Davis is better than Mo Williams anyway though even if you don't look at the fact that they gave up the first pick in the draft.
Yup -- Baron is a stronger player than Mo.

Mo Williams is a liability ... someone the Clippers need to get rid of.

I also like the idea of clev taking D williams and Kemba, however i wouldnt be suprised if there plan is to use either the 1 or 4 for irving, kemba or knight and then use the pick along with jamison to try to bring in a SF( rudy gay?)

Kyrie Irving
Ramon Sessions
Rudy Gay
JJ Hickson
Anderson Varejao

not a terrible starting lineup considering what they had last season
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

The Cavs should strongly consider trading down from that #4 pick.

Lot of uncertainty over the remaining players in the lottery.

What's not to like?

I would been soooooooo happy if when they asked the Gilberts what they were looking for if Nick Gilbert had been like "A guy that shows toughness, courage, and leadership when times get tough!"

Or he coulda been like "My dad asked me if I'd sit here and I thought 'What should I do? Should I draw a lot of attention to myself here? Should I sit here and just try to forget why? What should I do? "

Even when they're lucky they're unlucky! To get the 1st and 4th pick in what looks like as one of the worst drafts in years! The 1st and 4th in next years draft would have been huge.

Yes but from pure statistical probability, some of those crazy conspiracies should actually be correct. I'm just saying... the lottery is done behind closed doors for a reason.

They also have the 32nd(second in the 2nd round)and 54th pick.Personally i think Kemba Walker and D.Williams would fit the Cavs best.Kemba has some Ben Gordon-like qualities and can be used at(2)positions.Even though he's only about 5'11",he plays a lot bigger. With Derrick Williams at the 3 and JJ Hickson at the 4 makes for a tougher out. Also rumors are K.Irving will probably have to wear a special shoe for his surgically repaired foot thruoghout his NBA career.

Quote from Kahn (Minnie):

“This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines. Last year it was Abe Pollin’s widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy [Nick Gilbert, the son of Cavs owner Dan Gilbert] and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We wee done. I told [Utah Jazz GM Kevin O’Connor, ‘We’re toast. This is not happening for us.’ And I was right.”

I think you take Irving first.  He's a much safer/surefire pick than Williams.  I love Williams game, but you have to go with the guard.  Then with the 4th pick, I think a guy they need to look at is Kawhi Leonard.  Get a PG and SF to pair with Hickson and Varejao.
