After just reading what the owners are proposing for the next CBA, scrap any free agency plans.  :P

From the Celts point of view, the shorter the season the better.

A short season is one thing.  No season is something else.  I can't imagine that there's any basketball to be played for a LONG time.

I'm just not seeing that. The owners want to get a better deal, but they don't want to be joining the NHL on the versus network. I think they'll start late but not scrap the season.

The only thing that makes me feel better is guys like Antoine Walker.  I have a feeling the lockout will hurt a lot of players very quickly, and they may blink much earlier than some expect.

I think the NFL lawsuit will be huge though, because if the players lose, then the NBA players will hopefully not try to do the same thing.

I expect the players to be better prepared this time around.

They have a lot of forewarning about this situation ... they've been expecting a lockout and readying themselves.

I think they'll be much more solid than they were in 1999.

A shorter season will actually hurt the Celtics.  The last lockout was 5 games in less than 3 months.  Teams were playing at least 4 games a week.  There would be A LOT more back-to-backs.  Definitely not to our advantage.

So you play the big three sparingly in back to backs and live with the third seed.

That requires that we have a MUCH improved bench, or we're not going to be getting that 3 seed.  Even short of the dramatic changes to the cap structure being proposed, that's going to be really tough.

What we really need is not a shorter season, but shorter games!  If they only made us play 42 minutes, I'm pretty sure we'd be undefeated!

How do we feel about Hamed Haddadi? He's young, gigantic and seemed to play well when he got extended minutes (or any minutes at all). I haven't seen him play too much but he seems pretty efficient offensively and can help shore up our interior defense with his size and shot-blocking ability.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey

I don't think it does, unless someone below us improves quite a bit more than we do.

Wow, I'm suprised at the people on here and their comments about Dalembert.  Who wouldn't want him for the right price ? Especially if its the MLE ? No O, good D.

He averages career 8/8 with almost 2 blocks per....Whats he going to do when he finally gets to a good team who puts all stars all around him ?

A Dalembert/JO/Krstic rotation is as solid as it gets with the core 4 in place.
