Without getting too deep, I am really struggling with the Celts being eliminated by Miami. I am also having a hard time coping with the fact that the Celts won't be playing again til October (or possibly later if there's a lockout.)

I was wondering if anyone else is having a similar problem and how to best deal with it.

Watch the Taj Gibson dunk on Dewayne Wade.

Watch Da ThibaBullz school the My Hammy Cheat.

Listen to Canned Heat's greatest hits.

If you want Depression, try following the Mariners and Brandon League trying to close out baseball games - Vey Shmere.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

If the Celtics getting eliminated is REALLY causing duress in your life, you need to talk to someone.  Or at least get laid.  I love my hoops, but it's still a game.

Watch other teams playing really well and still competing; appreciate a team or two that you actually like (e.g. non-Heat), and get used to it.

You're going to be playing the "pick the next best thing" game in the playoffs for quite a while.

I thought it was strange that I don't feel that down from the C's losing. I mean, I would be in "don't talk to me" mode for hours after a regular season loss.

I realized, as many of my friends have as well, that the Lakers getting swept made it a little easier to cope. Sucks that we got eliminated BUT Bynum/LAMAAAAAAARRRR ejections, Ron Ron missed layups, and Kobe's excuses just put a smile on my face.  ;D

Let's go Mav's (DRose and KD have plenty of time)
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

To be honest, I was pretty surprised at how well I took it. Even though I was preaching optimism and was obviously hoping (and talking myself into believing) that we would pull out the series, I sort of accepted our fate after game 4, in a way. Game 7 last year was a much, much, much tougher pill to swallow.

Of course, it helps to see the Lakers getting swept and some really, really exciting action going on in other places (Grizz-Thunder, Heat-Bulls, etc).

I think one of the things that's hurting is wondering if we would've gone further in the playoffs if we still had Perk.
