I hope you're right. The way Allen, Pierce, and Garnett played this season warrants them another opportunity to try and get it done one more time. I can't say the same for Rondo. For all the Celtic players, Rondo played like the one who should be shipped out of town, outside of Glen Davis. But no one really cares much about Big baby.
yea Rondo only played through the playoffs with one arm and still kept us close in the Miami games . Oh yea, he also lead the league in assists and set up the big 3 to have career years or pretty close shooting wise .
Ray is an expiring contract of course he is going to be on the trade block. The cs aren't going to win a championship as presently constructed, if Rondo is available in the right trade , Ray Allen is much more available . You have to trade Ray if a deal can bring us back a young athletic talent or lottery pick that can add to the team for 2012 and beyond.
I hear people say this a lot when in fact he didn't lead the league in assists Steve Nash did while playing 4 fewer minutes a game and without 3 HOF's.
Rondo's numbers went so so so down the second half of the year that his assists averaged dropped basically on a daily basis.
He was averaging like 16 assists for the first couple months. After that he just started to do terrible. For him to wind up at 11.2 assists per a game he must have averaged like 6 or 7 assists the last couple months
Close, he averaged 16 assists in October (3 games) and after that all of his months were between 9 and 13. Pretty shocking that his numbers dropped when he was having health issues, isn't it?
People always say that having three HOF players makes it easier to get assists. Watching the games, you'd see them pass the ball when they got a pass from Rondo and were open a lot more than their counterparts on other teams. Maybe someone who thinks it's overly easy to get 11 assists a game when you're playing with three all-stars could name the last time it happened?
