Just Kidding,

Dallas Selects, Bob Pettit

that wasnt my pick
but good job
I think some sleep at first MVP on the league
just because
well was a loooooooong time ago

Dont know how he  will fit but i wont say it was a bad pick on this round

Yet... my top 3 are still intact

this makes him qualify here by itself hope you pick this year of course

In 1958, Pettit, Ed Macauley and Cliff Hagan led the Hawks to an NBA Championship, defeating the Bill Russell-led Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals (the Hawks had acquired Macauley and Hagan from Boston for the draft rights to Russell). Pettit put an exclamation point on the Hawks' 110-109 game 6 victory by scoring a then-playoff record of 50 points. Both teams would also meet in the 1957, 1960 and 1961 Finals, with Boston winning each time.

He can't pick that year. the year cut off is 1959-60 season, which means none of Pettit's MVP years are available for Rondo to pick from.

I don't think so. He is still the same guy.  Still had 5 years of first team NBA eligbility.

I think my run of league MVP's may come to an end this round, though there are still a couple out there.

Pettit was not who I was laboring over.  Maybe I will get lucky and have one of them fall to me.

Yep.  Wilt and Russell will do that to a guy.

Also, I should note that according to the rules, I can only pick a season within the timeframe of 1959-1960 and on, but it does not say that seasons before that should be disregarded.  So it looks like his MVP's and Championships still count.

In describing your team in your profiles later on you can reference any awards, any stats, anything really to describe your player. But in judging your player the judges can only judge him based on the player he was in the year you reference.

I need my lawyer.

hey again.. i like the pick, not having a championship on that year is important to some and to others not.
So take me with a grain of salt, I am just saying I am not as high on the pick as I was for start, IF he had that year
I love acomplishments over stats, most of the time... emphasis in most of the times

And I am not going to care about the semantics on the rules.
I will think on that when the times come.

For now

I still have my top 3 intact
since mid last round.

Gevin, Baylor, Petit and Shaq..........

will see

It is time to bring the big guy his ring. If this guy ever had half the talent around him that I'm putting next to him, he would have a handful of rings...

So with pick 4.2 the Celtics would love to add the smoothest shooting big guy and a no brainer top 10 center (and our 2nd straight Knick, wow!)....Welcome to championship basketball MR......

Patrick Ewing

G:Kemba,Payton,Hairston,Henderson,Lin
F:Parker,MKG,Budinger,Mirotic,Salmons
C:R.Lopez,Biyombo,Hickson
Coach: Shaka Smart

I like it he was indeed one of top 3

Timmy D and Patrick can indeed match any combination of PF Center
That big man combo is one of the best out there

I still like the wilt-Mchale a little little better

I have an unreasonable amount of hatred towards Patrick Ewing and I'll never really understand why. Maybe it's the flaptop?

It's the getting dunked on by Scottie Pippen.
