I see a lot of you guys throwing his name out there. I saw him play against us and thought he was a very good prospect. I don't know too much about him. Do you guys think he'd work with us? if he can i think that he should probably be our top priority.

He is not really available. Not for the Celtics anyway.

DeAndre Jordan is a restricted free agent and the Clippers are pretty much a certainty to match an MLE offer. It'll take more cash than the C's have to offer to pry him away from LA.

Would it be worth us to try to make a deal for him. I know the Clippers want a big name FA in 2012 so what if we offer BBD, Bradly, our Quise trade exception, and a second rounder?

DeAndre Jordan is going to make a lot more money than people think. I'll peg him at 4 years 40 mil.

I'd guess, they see him as the future with Griffin. Kaman is the one somebody could trade for. Clippers need a veteran sf in the starting lineup.

He will get horribly overpaid this summer, because GMs will think they're paying for the second coming of Ben Wallace -- and he's not quite there yet.

I am thinking 5 years $45 million.

Maybe $40 million guaranteed with  the other $5 million in hard to reach incentives.

I think you can overspend in worse ways. At the very worst, you've got a fast 7 footer who can finish, rebound, and is a great weak side defender. Pretty much a slightly better version of Sam Dalembert.

I think if the Celtics get Iguodala and Jordan as the 2 main targets, they are set

How do you propose accomplishing that, though?  Jordan is too expensive, and we're not getting Iggy without sending talent + expiring contracts back Philly's way.

DeAndree who? Celtics cannot have any interest whatsoever in DeAndre Jordan. He was available to us in the 2008 but Danny and Doc were enamoured with the guy that we really needed and nobody would sway them from their pick who has made all the difference to us: J.R.Giddens

All of what you said is for certain--also, would he still be effective if you take out the Blake Griffin factor? Let's face it, the NBA is built on tall guys who can jump out of the building, but Griffin's athleticism and presence on the floor alone makes Jordan a better player.
