no call

if we get/hit FT's we go up 2; instead 'bron hits a trey & were down 3

next play:
Jeff Green drives the lane, gets pushed off his dunk attempt

no call

if we get/hit FT's we're only down 1, but again, bron' drains a trey.  Now were down 6 pts, game over

Why point out this paticular sequence you ask?
Because I'm sick of hearing about how the Celts "didn't get FT's because they were settling for jumpers".
what a steaming pile of...

no league pass for me next year, will come back when legit competition comes back.

The Celtics blew the game last night and lost to a better team. They were outscored 16-0 in the last 4:32. The Celtics lost the game. The Heat are a better team.

Same old story, unfortunately. We've been getting jobbed for awhile now. We were good enough in 2008 to overcome it, but we needed a level playing field this year. Doc, Danny, the media - someone needs to draw more attention to this.

This is today's NBA.

Sorry but you knew this would happen.

Read this carefully...I am not blaming the NBA refs for this loss.  The NBA refs always do the same thing.  They are who I thought they were  ;) . Reward the aggressive HOME team for driving to the basket and swallow the whistle for the road team.

I told the bloggers in the CB chat after game 4 now that the game was going back to Miami we would not get a call.  I didn't mean in the whole game of course we would get some calls.  what I meant is exactly what you saw.

Reggie Miller on the TNT broadcast was yelling @ the Celtics in the 4th why dont they go to the basket why are they taking jump shots?

The reason is because 1. Miami is young athletic and can close quick and block shots.  2.  They know if they drove because of 1. they would not get fouls on the road even with the contact.

And as I stated days prior I knew what would happen...guess what, that is exactly what happened.

Are the refs the reason we lost no...I could name several other reasons we didnt (rebounding as usual)  (lack of offensive flow @ the end of games as usual) but I knew we were not going to get calls on the road in a close game.  We had to play much better than we did to get a win out of last nights game.

But I have already moved on...we still have 1 more run with the current core.  The lock out may actually help our old team.  We will be ok next year I think.  Now after that who knows  ???

Not saying the refs are the reason we lost

I'm saying they cost us a fair opportunity to win the game down the stretch

without those obviously-hosed, back to back no calls --- miami doesn't go on a 16-0 run to close the game.  we'd likely had buzzer-beater finish.

....

You really think Wade gets a no call if he ends up in the 1st row on a dunk attempt?

or Bron gets a no call if there's any contact whatsoever when he drives baseline for a dunk?

fair is fair.
