I saw PP, KG and Rondo go straight to the tunnel. I thought they could have been better sports about losing the series.

They were shaking hands right before the clock ran out, after that, all of the Heat players were hugging each other, so most of the Celtics didn't stick around waiting for them to stop celebrating and having "emotional" moments. They didn't just walk off.

To be fair, Miami players were celebrating their referee-assisted 3rd NBA title for a few minutes last night. LeBron kneeled and cried for several minutes. DWade stayed in the front row for several minutes. I don't see many other players wait 3-4 minutes on the floor after losing a painful, bitter series to shake hands. The fact that Ray and Delonte stayed out there is a testament to them. Had Miami done the normal thing, which was celebrate for a few seconds, and not far away from the center of the court, I'm sure we would have shaken hands and congratulated them.

I would've just left, too, with the way they were celebrating like they just won the Super Bowl.  It's the 2nd round, guys...
"When I was a rookie, [Bird] and Kevin McHale were arguing.  So I asked Kevin McHale what they were arguing about.  And he says, 'we're just trying to figure out who you're going to guard.'  I said, 'what you mean?' and he said, 'oh, you're dead meat, rook.'" - Charles Barkley

Ya, it was quick, and during the game but you could see KG shaking hands with a very surprised Chris Bosh.

Ray was almost too nice.  He waited the entire time for LeBron and Wade to get done with their gay-session for making it out of the second round to congragulate them

Did any Americans shake hands of the Soviets after the Olympic thing?  How about the Kings when the refs totally totally gave that WCF series to the Lakers back in the day?

I'd shake Lakers hands. They're a real team.  But not this "best kids on the court teamed up" crud.

I was almost disappointed that Ray and Delonte stayed to shake hands, I wish the entire team (except for Doc) walked out. LeBron and Wade were celebrating like they had just won the title and everybody knows that these two teams hate each other so I don't see any point in congratulating them.

Yeah, like someone said above, those guys shook hands as the clock was winding down. I'm all for sportsmanship, but did Doc really have to give Wade a huge hug on the court? That's something he easily could have done behind closed doors. That guy got handed every single call imaginable, injured our best player, and made some lucky prayer shots to beat us, and you HUG him on the court? A little over the top IMO.

Do you think they'll stick around after D.Rose lights them up for 30+ ppg and wins the series single handedly?

Remember the Game 7 in Boston in 2008 when the Cavs were eliminated?  LeBron left without shaking hands and got ripped apart by the media and fans as being classless and a sore loser.  This is no different.

Also, the cameras didn't really show it but I think D-Wade took so long to make his way over because he was legit hurt when he fell into the stands at the buzzer.  I hate LeBron as much as anyone, but I can't criticize him for not shaking hands and then defend the Celtics when they do it.

I noticed this too, but had no issues with it...the Heat players seemed caught up in their own celebrating as if they'd already won the title, and I'm sure that CHI, DAL, and OKC took notice of that.

And - after the LA-DAL debacle - with how Lamar and Bynum conducted themselves, I had no qualms whatsoever with whether our team hung around and kissed MIA's behinds, I'm sorry.

I turned off the TV immediately, because I couldn't stand watching the closeups of Lebron doing his incredible hulk impression.  But I do know that KG at least was congratulating Bosh on the last possession.

Funny you mention that it's only a second round game. The announcers were saying during the game that LeBron said that game 4 in Boston was the biggest game of his life, as opposed to some of those games in the ECF and finals, I guess...
