Whether this was the last game we ever see the Big Three Plus One ever play together, I love this group.
Doc. As a man, he is as genuine a person as you can find. I'd take him as my leader any day of the week.
The Big Three. We haven't seen their last stand just yet. Three of the best at their respective positions, these guys stories still have another chapter or two left. Since they came together, I knew they were special. 2008 confirmed this. So did 2009, 2010, and 2011. I'd take those three into a foxhole before anyone else.
Rondo. Love the kid's heart. Appreciate the effort before and after the injury. A truly unique talent.
JO. Almost everyone doubted you, but you fought back and gave us everything you had to the bitter end.
The Bench. Green, Delonte, BBD, Krstic, et al. You guys were inconsistent, but I never doubted the heart and hustle.
Shaq. I believe it crushed you to be sidelined and have to watch your team falter when you were helpless. You are a legend and to go out like this has to hurt. We believed in you. And you believed in us. From the day you signed with us, you gave love to the city of Boston. A championship we didn't achieve, but we saw the difference a man can make.
And then there is DA. Some probably hate you right now. But some know you did what you thought was best. We didn't win it this year, but it is hard to blame it on you. We lost, but we aren't that far away. Further than last year? Perhaps. But not within reach. If there is a season next year, we are a move or two away. The pressure is on you, and I have faith you can add the pieces this team needs.
This season was extremely enjoyable. It ended prematurely, but as always, there is always next year season.
