Plain and simple. game was a direct representation of game 7.

Like Stern had this planned out or something to break Bostons hearts

Didn't watch but from what I'm gathering it was a Celtics patented 4th quarter offensive drought...the thing we were supposed to fix when we traded defense for offense.

Rondo KG Pierce and Ray werent traded.

They are the reason for our offensive drought.

That was an EPIC Collapse.  And we did it two games in a row.

I'd never be embarassed to be a Celtics fan...but they didn't show much to be proud of down the stretch the last two games

It's not a pride thing, or heart thing at the end of games.
Just these guys being old.

Game 7 last year: 37-17 in free throws for the Lakers

Game 5 this year: 38-20 in free throws for the Heat

Game 6 2002 Kings vs. Lakers: 45-20 free throws for the Lakers

Case closed.

Take the high road. After all, its not like the league has ever had a corrupt official before

Yep.

What this team needs is young guys that can carry the offensive load enough during games for the Big 3 to conserve their energy.  The Big 3 had to expend all of their energy all game long defending the Heat's Big 3 and also trying to score on the Heat defense.  It's no surprise they were gassed down the stretch every single game.

The only way this team is competing for a title next year is if Rondo can start scoring 15-20 points per game and Danny brings in another guy who's not yet past his prime and can score 10-15 points a night while playing alongside the Big 3 (Green has to score when Pierce or KG is out).
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

"I know you all wanna win, but you gotta do it TOGETHER!"

Our bench was our offense in the 4th, our Big 3 couldn't bring it home.

We are old.

We are injured.

We are the Rodney Dangerfield of the NBA when it comes to calls.

We are turnover prone.

We are horrible at rebounding.

Oh and their stars played like stars. (can't forget that)

Seriously I feel this was a replica of Game 7.

Horrible officiating in the 4th.
Having a lead the whole game.
Making us confident until the last 5 minutes.
Lakers/heat hit big 3's.
Turnovers, bad offense.
Lack of size/rebounding.
Paul, KG, Ray all disapeared at the end of the game.
etc
etc
etc

Look, odds are we wouldn't have won the series. But whatever happened to playoff defense?

We were robbed of this game, just because a team goes to the hoop doesn't mean it should be an automatic foul. I saw plenty of times where wade and leroid threw themselves into the defender and drew a whistle. If it was that easy, they every player in the league should do this.

tonight was a repeat of last year plain and simple.

Look at all the bs that Wade got away with this series. Can you tell me how the league doesn't suspend wade for his game three antics? It's because there are 2 sets of rules in the NBA

When Paul drives, he gets nothing. When Lebron and Wade drive, its an automatic whistle before they leave there feet.

  • GOT IT!!!
If you really think about it, this team hasn't really had a closer the last four years. Pierce isn't that guy anymore. If and when he does get to the rim he doesn't get the calls like he used too.

Heat went from a team that couldn't close late to being dynamite in that aspect. Good luck Chicago and WC opponent.

I'm still trying to figure out where there was a foul on the Wade circus shot he made. Looked to me that he slipped on his own, but we all know that wade isn't capable of that

I'm also curious. Did anyone see Ray get held on that play late in the 4th where I think it was Bosh went straight from the hoop.

I'm not 100% certain that was the case, but Ray just stood there and didn't move. He was looking back like he was trying to free himself.

It' would be great if anyone can post that clip.
