The Ref's were unbelievable again.

Yes Lebron made some big shots.

I know everyone is going to say that "the ref's didn't cause this game" and for those people you never think the ref's can cause a game anyway so what's the point.

Maybe the broadcasters tonight are closet Celtic's fans but even they pointed out 3 instances of ridiculous calls.

1. Bosh out of bounds- Lebron hits 2--ooops not a big deal
2. Big baby and one....oops it was called a travel
3. Pierce hits the jumper- nope obviously a travel

Not to mention everyone talking about how we need to be aggressive to the hoop.....woooopsss we are aggressive to the hoop and don't get dingleberry calls.

The C's deserved this win tonight and were robbed. I know people want to gush over Lebron's shots but the fact is that if the ref's give the Heat chance after chance of course they will find the hoop after a while

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I was certainly a bit skeptical at some of the calls, and you picked out three very obvious ones (along with the fouls).

The truth is, if the Celtics had a little more of a cushion, Lebron would never had the chance to pile on at the end. Let's face it, this wasn't even close to a 10 point game.

The 2002 western conference finals gave me a slight suspision that the refs fixed games...this series confirmed it. Disgusting.

And the Celtics had open shot after open shot to increase the lead in the last 4 minutes but they just can't seem to hit any.

Agreed. All the calls in the 4th quarter for every Miami drive to the hoop (can't list them all because there were so many) were ridiculous, especially the one where Krstic just put his arms up and Wade got the Fts or the one where Wade took a shoot, missed it, and long after it was obvious he missed it, the refs called a foul.

And i'm not talking about the on calls on the other end on Pierce, Green, KG' shots in the paint.

Sure the refs weren't THE reason we lost but to me Jones'3 and LeBron's treys would not have happened without these calls (or at least wouldn't have killed us like they did because we would have been up by 10 or more had the game been called fairly instead of being down by 2 or tied).

They're were some iffy calls, but ultimately we failed to score the ball and that had nothing to do with the officiating

Pierce didnt score in the 4th
Ray didnt score in the 4th
KG scored once in the 4th

Reallyyyyy hard to blame the refs imo

I agree with you and I rarely complain about officating but I have complained about it all series long. Todays game was just pathetic. People want to say its our fault for missing shots but what do you expect when you get called for crap or you get dont get a call when you drive to the basket and get hacked. It happend to me in highschool and its crippling. It really deflates you.

Refs sucked, but they had nothing to do with a bunch of unforced turnovers.  Despite all of the calls, the Celts were in a position to win and played horrendously down the stretch.
Yup

...and if you didn't, you should consider getting glasses. I may not watch another NBA game as long as Stern is in charge. Sad.

The refs played NO ROLE in the 16-0 run in the last 5 minutes of the game. The Celtics offense was absolutely terrible. They choked. They chucked jump shot after jump shot, while took the ball to the rim, which was wide open for them most of the evening. Not on thee refs -- all on Danny for the crap he gave Doc to work with,

Are you serious with this? The bench was the reason we had the lead in the 4th quarter to begin with. Christ.

Okay, I know I'm asking a stupid question here but because it's the Internet, I need to make sure - this is sarcasm right?

Curly was actually really good, too bad it took til tonight to get him some minutes.

But Good God, Jeff Green had to be the worst player evaluation ever
