Of course he did.

Im sure Pierce does similar things on his drives but Lebron takes full advantage. If the refs arent calling it you have to do it.

The rule needs to be officiated better league wide. I dont think Lebron gets special treatment. He is just the best at exploiting the advantage.

yeah man we have the same view of it.

what did you guys think of paul's almost game-winner? to me it looks like he gets away with a shuffle too.

everyone in the nba does it; lebron has mastered it.  league needs to review this stuff in the offseason.

Of course he travelled, he does so on almost every possession. What really bothers me is when he drives the lane with his off hand extended clearing out space, this is not a legal play, it is an offensive foul. I always joke that I'm pretty sure Lebron and Wade are pretty good basketball players but since they don't have to play by the rules there is no way of knowing, until then I will just have to assume they are average to above average players.

It always bothers me when I see offensive players throw the stiff arm with no call.  Is this football?

I'm actually playing the "take a shot when Lebron travels" game tonight. I plan to be absolutely plastered by the half.

Every body travels in the NBA... And nothing is going to be done about it.

This. They used to call traveling and palming the ball a lot more back in the day. Now, every player carries/palms the ball every time they dribble, and most players travel during the game and it is never called.

Yep.  Does it matter?  Not really.

How does it not matter?

I'd be fine if it was a 3 step travel, but 5 is pushing past my point of tolerance.

He travels about 50% of the time he touches the ball, if you go by the rule book.  Wade travels about 80% of the time he touches the ball.  and that is before they even take a dribble.  From what I remember of the rules you can't take 2 steps and a hop before you start to dribble.  that is the most frustrating thing about watching these games.  The travel, sometimes up to 5 steps, before they even dribble and it NEVER EVER gets called.  NEVER!  How hard is it to see a guy take that many steps without dribbling?  Make the Call!  I think they should add a 4th ref, but all from HS leagues...they call traveling.

No

I know I shouldn't have said anything about the traveling calls...they called them last night, only they were on the C's and of course at the worse possible time.  And, they weren't even travels.  Go figure, the refs know how to really stick it to ya.

Does a wild bear leave doody in the woods?!? ;)

Yes, he traveled, and he does it all the time. He calls it a "crab dribble" which is a bunch of crap ... he hops with both feet while holding the ball ... you can not hop with the ball, because as soon as you stop dribbling, you must establish a pivot foot, and that foot can not move in any way but pivoting, can not lose contact with the playing surface, and you can not dribble the ball again. He does it so much that if he was called for it each time, we would have won this series.
