Surprised to see so many people with OJ Mayo. Not sure why I'm so high on him today, but he does this:

That is just awesome

At the Center spot I would love Howard however an under the radar guy I really like is Andrew Bogut (as long as he is healthy.)   At power forward I'd love Blake Griffin but I'd settle for Lamarcus Aldridge.  Somehow keep the Clippers pick and Austin Rivers falls in our lap.

So again how about;

PG, Jennings (Rondo if we can somehow keep him in all this), West
SG Rivers, Ray Allen
SF Pierce, normal backup
PF LA, KG
C Bogut, normal backup

Not sure if it's my dream team but all I could come up with at the moment.  ;D

Bahahahahahhaahah the ideas in this thread are hilarious.

We're going to get Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard, with Andrew Bogut as an "under-the-radar" possibility?  Iguodala is gonna come here and play off the bench?

Hahahahahahahahaha

That's why the thread is called "Celtics DREAM team" not realistic team.

then here's my celtics' "dream" team for 2012-2013:

Chris Paul
Dwyane Wade
Kevin Durant
Amare Stoudemire
Dwight Howard

What do you think?  Any chance we can pull that off?

I'll go with the most realistic one. I won't bet on D12 or CP3 since both are sweepstakes jackpot so it has minimum possibility.

PG - Rajon Rondo
SG - Delonte West
SF - Jeff Green
PF - 2012 LAC pick
C  - Al Jefferson

Bench:
Kevin Garnett
Ray Allen
Paul Pierce
Avery Bradley
Greg Oden
Tony Allen
Peja Stojakovic
Jermaine O'neal

Jefferson huh?  Well, I guess your not big on defense......  ;D

So you think Jeff Green is a great defender before he went here in the c's? The C's before KG came were not a defensive minded team. I think if he is here with KG, he will learn how to defend plus he can rebound and have the offensive tools that is something we need. I think he is the opposite of Perkins who is a great defender but poor on the offensive ends.

I'd love to see the Celtics attempt to make a run at Andre Iquodala or Kevin Love. Greg Oden is a great suggestion. The risk for reward is great but I'm certain the Celtics medicos and a new environment would be great for him.

That said, Gerald Wallace would have been a nice trade. The Celts need to get young and get young quick.

Rondo

Andre Iguodala

Rudy Gay

JJ Hickson or Jason Maxiell

Dwight Howard (or more realistically, gamble on Oden)

I'd Love to see a big 3 of  Rondo-Howard-Love on this team... Celtic blood IMHO in those two players..  How phenomenal that would be.. if possible.  That's my biggest dream.

Like some others, I am skeptical of a combination of Rondo and Dwight Howard due to their difficulties with free throws and lack of shooting ability.

However, I would be very excited by a combination of Kevin Love and Dwight Howard.  I think those two would complement each other extremely well, forming perhaps the best front court in the entire league.

The problem, of course, is that both guys are franchise-level players given their production, and it's very unlikely that we'd be able to get a hold of both of them.  There's a good chance one or both of them signs an extension with their current team (probably Love) or gets traded and signs an extension with his new team (Dwight).
