This team's play of late has not really given us reason to hope or believe but if they play like they are capable of, like they have often before -  winning the next 3 is not beyond the realm of possibility.

I will approach Wednesday night's game looking for the Boston Celtics to seize the opportunity, take this one game at a time and show what they are made.  This morning I believe the 2011 Celtics will grab their chance to go down in history.

How about a Yes We Can!

No grief, no placing blame, no talking about why did this happen -- let's grab some history!  Show another generation what the Boston Celtics are all about!

All credible, positive cliches are welcome.

winning the next three games  is out of the realm of possibility. We had our chance a missed layup. Miami has all the confidence and is going home. its over

Win or lose this series as long as this team doesn't make the same type of history the Lakers just made i will be proud of this group for what they've given us over the past 4 seasons...win with class and loss with class.

It’s certainly feasible. Bill Parcells has always maintained that all things being relatively equal “ The desperate team usually wins.”  Miami is playing with a cushion; we’re playing with our backs against the wall. Thus, I think we’ll win game five. No way Miami eliminates us at home, so we’ll take game six. And anything can happen in a game seven.

I still believe

As long as you man-up big time when you  are proven wrong.

Let's make some history!

I think it starts with a hard foul to either Wade or Lebron within the first 60 seconds of game 5 on Wednesday.

Why isn't Jermaine giving any hard fouls? Shaq picked up 2 fouls in 60 seconds and neither left a mark.

What gives here people? Where's a hard foul?

Nah.

We had that opportunity at 2-0.  We weren't able to deliver

Same response as to FatJohnreturns above as long as you are willing to man-up and say you were wrong when they win the next 3!

I'd LOVE to be able to say that!

Our Celtics have been down before...with critical games in front of them. Seemingly, that is a part of this team's Rich History.

One similar example of this was just last year - almost a YEAR ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKgdjQ2d8QY

Yes - the series was tied, so some folks may say that we are worse off right now than last year going into CLE.

But regardless of what the series count was last year vs CLE - it was a critical game.

Same with game 4 of the 07-08 NBA Finals. Boy I loved this game! We were up 2 games to 1, yes - but if we would've lost, then that would've made the series more complicated. We started out looking like LA was going to blow us out, too:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8Up_nUOOao

Just like in the CLE vid above - we fought back, and overcame the odds.

Just like These Celtics have done throughout their Rich History.

Yes - the players have changed over the last few years. We no longer have Perk's, Powe's, Posey's, PJ Brown, TA, etc  - toughness.

But we have Our Core Four - and regardless of our situation right now NO ONE can question this team's Toughness.....just look at Rondo.

Look at how Paul has carried this team the last few games - Lebron cannot slow him down.

Look at how admirably Jermaine O'Neal has played.

There has even been several Jeff Green sightings.

Even with Glen Davis - I am holding out hope for a Big Game.

Delonte West has played admirably.

Yes - we could've used more KG last night - but I know he won't let us down, and judging by his postgame comments last night, he will be a man on a mission on Wednesday.

I am very much in touch with reality. Over my course of being a member of this Blog here, I've been called "Blind Optimist" "Kool-Aid Drinker", etc.

That's ok.

All I've done during these seemingly Dark Times with our Celtics is just rely on Our History. And it is a Rich One, indeed.

I expect our Celtics to come out swinging on Wednesday. As long as Wednesday's game is fairly officiated, we still have a chance here.

One game at a time - as KG said last night. I think he (and Ray and Paul AND Rondo) know a little something about Celtics History.

No matter what our position in the series is right now - the hardest thing to do is close out a team - just ask MIA about the fight that PHI put up - in MIA - just over a week ago.

How soon some of us forget!

The difference between us and PHI? This is The Celtics. They will bring a competitive game on Wednesday. They have Tradition on their side. Our Core Four have been in the trenches. Our Core Four have earned their accomplishments - not that team in MIA.

MIA will certainly win their share - eventually - but they will have a fight on their hands on Wednesday.

To tell the truth - I would not want to be on MIA's team right now. They will have a huge test in front of them on tomorrow. Yes - they have a ton of athleticism....yes, they are "ESPN's favorites"....yes, they are "The Popular Choice." Yes...they are "Hip".

But they are not Boston.

Agree completely. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination, win game five and it’s a series again. The narrative changes, the mood and the tenor changes, everything changes!

Some have written us off, but I haven’t.

Remember this is a 7 game series.  Emotions as fans are always too high after a win and way too low after a loss.  This will not be easy, but we have the talent.  We have the bench.  We have the coach.  We, as fans, just need to believe.

Winning game 5 in Miami will change the whole series around.  We'll have a game 6 in Boston in which we will want to avenge our game 4 loss.  Then in a game 7 anything can happen.

The odds are definitely not with us, but man, how as a Celtic fan, can you not WANT to believe we can do it.  It can't be any fun being a fan that constantly believes that your team is going to lose.  Blind faith.  Embrace it and if we lose then we can deal with the off season and whether or not we blow it up.

But right now, I want to enjoy the possibility of being the 9th team to come back from 3-1.  Regardless of the odds!!

I don't believe anymore. KG is too inconsistent, but I will be rooting for this team until the end. Go Celtics!
