God, I hope it's Chicago.  Hard to pick against the Heat right now, though.  They play incredible defense and you just can't completely stop their offense.

Pos - why are you posting this and the series isn't over yet?

Because the chances of winning 3 straight games (including a game 7 on the road) against a team that just won 3 out of 4 against us, with Rondo playing at less than 50%, are astronomical.

The Celtics lost tonight because they ran out of gas.  You really think they are going to go and win three straight games with only a day or two of rest in between each one?  Against this Heat team which has proven to be the better team through the last 5 games they've played (which are the ones that matter)?

You have got to be kidding me.

No, PosimPos...I am not kidding you. This series isn't over until MIA closes us out. Both games in MIA have been close, so until MIA or BOS wins 4 I'm not counting Boston out.

I would hold out some kind of hope if it weren't for Rondo being so limited by his injury.  Going into this series, I would have said there's no way the Celtics win a single game with Rondo playing at anything less than 100%.  We needed him to dominate in order to have a chance to win this series.

With Rondo playing probably closer to 40% out there, I don't give the Celtics a snowball's chance in hell.

sadly, this sounds about right.

if 35 year olds could play the same and for just as long as 25 year olds, this series wouldn't even be close.  unfortunately, 35 year olds are just about done being NBA stars.

close out games are always the toughest and i think miami will be overhyped...but in the end they will have too much.

Who cares? When the Celtics offseason starts so does mine. Besides neither series is over yet. I'd much rather spend the time until the next game thinking of the Celtics and not who would win this hypothetical match-up.

Normally I wouldn't care that much, but I would really like to see somebody other than the Three Amigos win the championship.  Still can't stand LeBron, and I've lost my admiration for Dwyane Wade.

Francis???

Anyway, it's true that the Hawks might win the series against the Bulls -- call this wishful thinking on my part, because I don't think the Hawks have a prayer against the Heat.

The Celtics aren't in a position to win the series against the Heat, though.  Not without the fountain of youth or Rondo miraculously becoming fully healthy and averaging a triple double.

They blew a golden opportunity tonight. A win would have put the Heat on the ropes.
