This thread is why I left boston.com

Kings fans don't even want to re-sign Tyreke Evans, but he's the answer to all the Celtics "problems" like the guys who got the Celtics within 1 game of the Finals.

Like team chemistry, trust, and personal sacrifice aren't among the biggest reasons the Celtics are so good.

Terrible...first they don't want to part with Bradley to trade up in the draft, they want to keep a flawed point guard in Rondo...and now Danny passes on a potential franchise changing power forward? Please tell me there is a trade in the works! Then Danny goes out and gets BBD's less athletic cousin who probably needs back surgery, oh and the exact opposite of a brain surgeon to defend the paint.

If KG and Ray don't come back I'll be happy though, gets us to the lottery quicker and that's the silver lining. All we need to do is trade Rondo off for a young PG and a lottery pick next year...huge blunder by Ainge not to cash in Rondo's value at an all time high!

What are you expecting the Celtics to get for Rondo that would be worth trading a franchise PG for?

I was hoping Danny would be smart and get younger with Sacrementos pick and Tyreke Evans ...apparently not the case at all!

-KG's contract is a joke, 3 years???!!! We're supposed to get younger and athletic?! How the hell is this team going to match up with LeBron and Wade? Now Ray is getting 2 years 12 million maybe? I hope for the C's sake he goes to the Heat and then we move Bass for the OJ Mayo show. I'd give Mayo 7-8 million over 4 years to have him as Rondo's running mate I'm convinced he can duplicate his potential that he showed at USC. He had a great rookie year too and is the speedster the Celtics need to run with Rondo.

-Do not sign Ray...Don't bring back the same core...I wish we traded Rondo, amnestied Pierce, and let KG go to Miami or retirement or somewhere...we should be having a youth movement and not trying to be like San Antonio which worked very well in the WCF against a more athletic Thunder squad. Mediocrity here we come! I'll love this team no matter what but lets be honest how many teams ever won anything putting all their money into a bunch of guys in their mid to late 30s? 7th to 8th seed at best...Should have blown it up Danny.

My birthday wish is for this thread to be locked and for everyone to just enjoy this team and the run they're going to have this year!
