After the 2 dirty plays Odom and Bynum pulled today, and Rondo's injury in game 3, I just think the refs are going to call every ticky tack foul on us to prevent retaliation and let the Heat pound away at us again with cheap shots. I know it doesn't make much sense, but this is how the league seems to work, and I hope our guys are mentality prepared to win in spite of it.

Disagree. I think tomorrow'll be called fairly, if only because the rest of the series has had such an obvious free throw discrepancy. Plus, (knock on wood), how on Earth could we draw a worse ref combo than yesterday?

We get shafted in every game, so nothing new here. Just got to play through it.

SO what you're saying is that they'll call the game the same way they have been but with a different justification for their calls?

LOL, yea, exactly, except our guys are going to be extra ornery and might fly off the handle tomorrow and get tossed while Lebron and Wade smirk.

There's always the spectre of the most incompetent official in professional sports, Bennett Salvatore.

Ask Thibs about that one.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I was hoping to not hear that name in the next few days

I don't think there are a ton of reasons to think we'd get screwed by the league tomorrow. I hope Im right

Is this a coping mechanism?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Though I will admit the way I perceive reality is pretty much the same as this.

If you go into it with that mentality, of course you'll see it that way.

If anything, the NBA wants these series to go as long as possible, so the calls should be in our favor

When this team plays it's best ball, nobody can beat them ... Officials included. You have to bring your "A" game no matter what, and make the refs or any inbalance of calls a non-factor.
