I honestly think we are looking at the NBA finals right here. I don't see any other teams that have the talent of Boston or Miami.

I think Dallas will be in the finals, but Boston can take them if relatively healthy.

Not necessarily.

Dallas swept the season series against both Miami and Boston. I don't think they should be dismissed so readily.

In fact, I'd consider Dallas the frontrunner in a matchup against Miami. Versus Boston, I think the C's have a slight edge over Dallas but it's close enough.

Dallas was the one team I didn't want to see in the finals. I don't like the match up.

But we might play them better in a championship atmosphere.

And I know what's  going to be said next. There is always the token guy who will say: "We have to get out of this round before even looking at that" without entertaining the idea.

The Cs don't get much respect nationally.

On a front page poll on RealGM that was up for a few weeks, the CS and KNICKS?!?!?! got almost the same percentage of votes (<20)as to who was to come out of the East.

If the Heat (puke) win this series, they will be favorites to win the NBA Finals. Not our Cs though, at least not in the eyes of the public.

The Bulls, the Mavericks, the Thunder, and the Grizzlies are still very much in the debate. The Mavericks punked the Fakers real bad today and are on their own level, probably much better than what we and Miami have been playing at. I know that we can guard the perimeter better than the Lakers did this series. I also know that KG will defend Nowitzki better than Gasoft did. Miami could beat the Mavs too but a lot of it falls on Bosh to stop Nowitzki.

The Grizzlies, if they can hold HC against the Thunder, will give us a very good WCF against Dallas. Can Zach Randolph offset Dirk Nowitzki? Tony Allen vs Jason Terry? Battier against Shawn Marion? Dallas has more depth.

The Bulls must be respected because they have the best PG and the best coach along with HCA throughout.

As far as Boston goes, will attrition finally beat us down? If not against the Heat, against the Bulls? against the Mavericks? The road remains quite challenging given our health and age. As the Lakers demonstrated, their dominence got smashed quickly. THey had no switch to flip (or maybe they flipped it and Bynum's elbow came flying up and threw Barea to the floor in one of the most disgusting, yellow displays of sportsmanship in the history of the NBA :D)
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Um... I'm not sure if the Celtics or Heat can beat Chicago right now.

No; I think Chicago is still favored to beat either team as long as Rose is healthy.  I think the Mavs would probably be favored over the Celtics, if not the Heat, considering they swept the two time defending champions (the team everybody thought was invincible).

I've had terrible luck predicting the post-season so far, but right now if I had to predict I'd say Mavs vs. Bulls in the Finals, with the the Mavs winning it in 6.
