I'm very happy that there's no a zero percent chance that LA can tie Boston for titles this year.

The first five were in Minnesota and don't count.

Kobe will retire in a couple years. They may try to pry Chris Paul away from New Orleans and Dwight Howard from Orlando.

Hopefully Danny can head them off at the pass and get Blake Griffen, Brandon Roy, and Greg Oden. Andre Igoudala is on the block but he has a price tag.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

In a shortened season next year, our big 4 with a healthy Oden would be dangerous!!!! No matter who we sign down the line, I just pray they follow Ubuntu and play great team first basketball on both ends.

Remeber when people wanted Melo over Pierce in the offseason? Psh

Magic Johnson himself said they are going to Cancun or Cabo. Haha!

I don't know, but I cannot believe that LA would go out like this.

Talk about a crash landing.

For a quick sec, I felt sorry for Phil Jackson, too. But then he started going around in circles a bit with the reporters questioning him about returning next year.

After that, my sorrow for LA just disappeared.

The Gasol gift...LA riding Shaq's back....all of the good fortune....just crash-landed in 3 quarters.

And Lamar and Bynum? I would not be surprised if they were the ones to go. Just totally classless behavior no matter what the circumstances....on National TV - and they resort to taking players out.

While I always thought of Lamar as being fake-tough (see Below)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RDCut1oGiQ

Bynum's antics here lately have become the most troubling, to me. Last year he hurt Gerald Wallace...this year he took out Michael Beasley...he's starting to remind me of a Big spoiled kid than anything else.

To me, it's a tale of two franchises, Boston and LA. I cannot remember Boston ever taking potshots at an opponent like this even when we were rock-bottom, but LA?

Magic, Kareem, Worthy - I bet they are embarrassed right now.

I know that Boston still has their hands full with MIA, but no matter what this is a proud franchise here.

Sorry to get off track, but I would not be surprised of Odom and Bynum end up in ORL for Dwight and a player or two.

Oh - and most importantly Big Congrats to The Dallas Mavericks...they played maybe the best four games of any series that I've seen outside of our own Celtics here.

Big Shout out to them.

And the funny thing with that is I bet if Gasol somehow ended up in Boston it would work. He seems to have the mindset to come off the bench, play Center, start, do whatever that's needed to help the team - with no hassles.

I'd love to have him backing up KG and JO next year, but only if Glen Davis and Shaq don't return.

That would be incredible if Isiah Thomas became GM of the Lakers

They need to take a BIG chance and compress their roster to try to extend this window with Kobe. If I'm Mitch I go after Jerry Sloan and keep the core of the roster.

Bynum
Gasol
SF
Kobe
PG

And offer everyone else in a trade. One trade I was thinking of addresses their need for a PG who has the talent but with baggage:

Odom, Artest, Walton and Blake for Gilbert Arenas. Kobe and Jerry Sloan could light a fire under his butt and that starting five with a solid full MLE SF could do well.

But yeah, I hope they have some down years.

How about MARS...?  :-*

Thank You Mav 's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for today . The good guys came out on top .

This total lack of class by the LA players , should really help em land big contracts with other teams ..."NOT"

Koby is a total UNTEAM player and ball hog. He can be nothing else.  Other than Pal , I wouldn't want the rest of those jerks on ANY team , much less the Celtics

LA's window is closed shut unless Kobe realizes that he can't dominate the ball like he used to.

With Phil retiring I feel that the first thing they should do is get rid of Kobe.  He'll just be a cancer to their team if he stays on and lingers on rebuilding teams.

From a PR standpoint that would be suicide.

I honestly don't care but seems to me you can win with a Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Bynum foundation.  If you're tired of Bynum's act, ship him out.  He'll bring something back. Artest will be gone at the earliest opportunity.  Then you go get a PG and a couple of bangers.

They're in extend the window mode just like we are (in our case assuming KG doesn't retire that is).
