I'm not positive but wasnt lebron complaining about his elbow last year during the playoffs? he even shot a free throw lefty right? and that was his excuse when they went out to the celtics in the second round. yet when rondo actually hurts his elbow, he comes out and leads his team to a big win.

just think it is interesting that lebron uses it as an excuse, and rondo just sucks it up and plays through it.

Remember Rondo in March was complaining about being hurt? I'm not saying he isn't tough because what he did tonight was tough but LeBron is probably even more tougher.

Lots of players are tougher than LeBron.  (Chris Bosh is not one of those players.)

Not even close! If what happened tonight had happened to LeBron, he would've been rushed to the nearest Emergency Room by police escort. I've seen that guy whining about a scratch on his arm, for crying out loud.

There's a reason that one of his nick-names is "LeBaby" and it has nothing to do with being small or young ... he's a physical player, yes, but when it comes to injuries, he's a whiner and borderline hypochondriac, and far from "tough", IMHO.

Rondo is a warrior, like KG, Ray, and Paul, and there is no comparison when it comes to toughness and LeBaby.

Poor Bosh. There's nowhere to hide, even in a Rondo/LeBron thread.

I would rather watch reruns of nancy grace for life then shop at the same grocery store as lebron james. dwade is a dam fool for not goin to chi to team up w rose booz n noah. spolstra is tarded. WE got this series fellas, im just kinda disapointed the lakers aint gon be standin to feeel the wrath.

Short answer, yes. LeBron is not tough, he is a quitter. He would love to have an excuse such as a dislocated elbow to deflect from one of his many poor performances.

Rondo is one of the strangest players I've ever seen, and I always assumed he would be the kind of guy to keep going after getting banged up, but I really thought he'd be gone the rest of the series after his elbow decided to dislocate. After this game, this guy goes on the big board of grittiest players to ever step on the parquet.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I wish this had happened to D Wades arm instead.
See if Lebron can beat the big four with Bosh. (doubt it).
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Sure LeBron might have been a bit soft with that elbow crap last year but he takes a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. load of hits and takes it strong to the hole very game. He's not weak.

Yeah, but I'm guessing hard fouls don't hurt nearly as much as a dislocated elbow. Plus, having your elbow dislocated may be hard to handle mentally. It is one thing to be physically strong, but being mentally strong is another thing. That is something Lebron struggles with. There is no way he would be back out as fast as Rondo if that happened to him. Not many players would.

Of course he takes a lot of hits ... he's 6'8" and 250+ pounds, (Rondo barely over 6'0" and 171 lbs),! He's not at all weak, he's a very physical and very strong player, but that's not the OP's question, it's "Is Rondo tougher?" and he absolutely is! ... LeBron's one of the biggest whiner's and crybaby's to hit the NBA, and if he had dislocated his elbow last night, he would've been headed to the hospital in a flash, and crying the whole way! I saw him get a scratch on his arm once and he spent the rest of the game looking at it and whining about it! I'm sorry, but when it comes to toughness, especially mental and in regard to injury, the guy's a wimp.
