Wade is getting a lot of criticism on SS&R for that "play". Glad to know its not just some Celtics fans.

He knew what he was doing, he was trying to ruff up Rondo. Probally not hurt him as bad as it turned out. But, that away from the ball intentional stuff needs to be punished by the League .

Showa there are two rules books.........one for superstars and one for everybody else.

I think Wade started the war ..intentional dirty play .....he should get payback down the line.....either from Boston or OKC if Perk gets a say.

  • Rondo = Good
Suspension won't happen.  He won't even get fined.  But it was absolutely a dirty play.

If Rondo didnt fall funny, there would be no one calling out for a suspension or a flagrant. Two guys getting tangled up, one happened to fall awkwardly.

Sorry PJ, but I've got to disagree slightly ... D-Wade definitely threw Rondo to the floor with intent, and it wasn't just two guys getting tangled, despite the result of how Rondo hit the floor. There will be no suspension or fine, though, and we can be very thankful that it wasn't a season-ending, or even career-ending injury, (which it could have been).

For the entire series, I've thought Wade has been pulling cheap shots every chance he gets. Game 1 was obvious. This game he obviously pulled Rondo down but also grabbed Pierce's jersey earlier in the game.

He is playing dirtier than any player I can recall in recent memory.

He won't get any borderline calls against him, but touch-fouls on him are automatic. What a farce.

I really can't stand Wade anymore.

His superstar status lets not only get a ton of foul calls for touching the paint, but he gets away with murder (aka Paul Pierce charge in game 1 + Rondo dislocation).

Screw him, I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope he breaks his leg in game 4. He's so dirty and I can't stand him anymore.

if it was an isolated incident, i'd agree that it was no big deal...

but wade did this very thing several times in the game and it eventually is going to (did) hurt someone.

early on when pierce fouled wade, you can see wade deliberately reach for, and pull down pierce, trying to be physical after the play.  pierce ran away with his arms up because he knew any retaliation would remind the refs of the game 1 confrontation when pierce was seen as the aggressor.

i'm not a wade hater either.  at least not until tonight.

Yep, he had pulled Pierce down earlier unnecessarily, and Pierce knew he better not make an issue of it, and didn't. Then he does it to someone smaller than he is. It's dirty play.

Wade has been pulling this nonsense all series.  Clearly his intent to inflict harm.  He tries it with Pierce in the first quarter and then pulled it with Rondo later.  Then, he tries to undercut Wade.  He probably won't be suspended but someone on this team needs to lay him out.

He did it to Ray, too, on the baseline when he threw him to the floor, and KG came over and walked Ray away so he wouldn't get T'd up. He also threw an elbow at De at least twice ... yeah, I know this stuff goes on, but tonight D-Wade went from my "Non-Celtics That I Admire" list to the other list, (the one that is written on bathroom tissue), that includes guys like Kobe and LeBron and Artest, etc.. ;)

I just saw a clip from his press conference. He's not a dirty player, people fall to the ground all the time.

Sometimes they fall to the ground with quite a bit of help,

We could use one of Baby's patented moves where he tries to block a shot and lands on the player right about now.

It was a play on the ball when contact started and the ball was barly out of bounds when the takedown took place.
Wade lost his footing and decided to pull Rondo down with him and try and get a foul on Rondo.

Not dirty but Wade's foul for sure.

No games missed or pay taken away, But it will make the refs call the games a little tighter.

It was an unfortunate accident, and a bad foul, but not suspendable for sure. Wade also took some pretty hard hits prior to that.

the "wrap around-I may fall and you're coming with me" bit on Wade's part is both unprofessional, and suspendable.

He has proved himself to be a dirty player, and it will only entice the O'Neal's to whip his ass in game 4 and wish he'd never cried "wolf."
