Yeah, Rondo is an incredibly tough competitor.

I have serious reservations about putting Rondo out there, though.  I have a hard time imagining him being effective tonight with that injury.

Not a good idea putting him back in.

Remember he refused to stay off the court after injuring his ankle against NY and that made it worse.

Must rest him and reevaluate him after the game.

With most dislocations, there's not a lot of risk of further re-injury.  Rather, it's just a matter of pain and some tenderness from where the surrounding muscles and connective tissue was stretched.  Since the elbow is back in place, Rondo is probably okay.

Don't be surprised if he's in more pain tomorrow than he is right now.  He's got to be playing on pure adrenaline.

yeah, i actually think rondo might not be able to play on monday. he probably will, but it's going to be worse tomorrow and maybe monday as well. that being said...him coming back and playing absolutely has to go down as one of the signature NBA playoff moments.

He definitely showed some serious brass ones out there tonight, but that might be a bit of an overstatement. He did spend the final couple of months of the regular season playing with no heart or desire because he was upset over a trade. He shows up in the playoffs though. That is what he does. Nice effort out there that gave your team a lift. I sure hope the adrenaline doesn’t wear off and he has trouble for the next one.
