bench that overpaid soft mental case [Pau]

There is only person who lost this game for us and the only reason we have been playing so (bleep) this year....his name is Pau Gasol

Quote
Pau can't even grab a simple rebound right now without flailing like a gutted fish? Please - Pau lost us this series and no one else.

Quote
I think it's an insult to Dirk to even mention Pau-thetic's name in the same sentence

Quote
its hard to play 4v5 (When gasol is in)

Quote
The problem is Pau. He's seriously done as a Laker IMO.

Pau has let us all down. Not because of his lack of performance, but because of his lack of heart.

There are a ton more where that came from.  Literally, dozens and dozens of posts talking about trading Pau, about how they can't wait for him to be off the team, etc.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is the same Pau Gasol who has helped the Lakers to three straight Finals appearances, and who was arguably their most important player in last year's Finals.  In short, no Pau = no titles.

I guess in a way it's like some Celtics fans with Rondo, but Rondo was never one of the top two players on a championship team.  Pau is struggling right now, but Lakers fans come across as ingrates.

You can't tell that to most Laker fans. All they look at is Kobe = 5 rings.

Im not the biggest Pau fan, but I feel sorry for him. He's going through personal issues right now from how he seems to be playing since the playoffs started and it doesn't help that Kobe keeps yelling at him like a child. When the Laker fans booed him I thought that was the most embarrassing thing a fanbase could do to a player and no wonder they were voted worse fanbase in all sports. It didn't help him and in fact seemed to make it worse. I understand being angry, but they're taking it too far and are acting like he just a useless bum. He's obviously going through something that either the team knows about or doesn't and it's sad to see the hate and blame he gets when he's not the only one not playing well. They should blame fisher for costing the game last night with the foul and I'll advised pass, how about Lamar for not being consistent, or maybe Ron for not showing up and in fact getting suspended when the Lakers could've needed him, or maybe King Kobe should be blamed for that airball clutch 3 he had at the end. The team didn't lose the series because of Pau, they lost as a team and everyone besides Bynum should be the blame for last night lost, but in the series this whole team is to blame not only Pau.
I also find it funny the hate he gets now when he saved Kobe's 6-24 behind from not winning his 5th ring. Without Pau there would've been no 2nd championship, no 16 championship and Kobe would've still had 4 rings. I'm tired of the blame game for a player when the team lost together.

Please the Lakers fans who think that say Shaq didn't do anything in that first threepeat. They said Shaq followed Kobe and road his coattails. That to me was the most hilarious thing I've ever heard coming from fans especially being in LA and knowing every single part of that threepeat. Heck my family felt Pau deserved MVP last year and not Kobe because without Pau they wouldn't have won.

I love how they want him gone. Probably because they saw phil yelling at him and figure he must be the culprit.

I say we send them Davis for Pau and then they will really know the true meaning of the word frustrated.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

  • Rondo = Good
I'll take Pau on our team if they don't want him.  He's long been the only player on the Lakers I actually kinda like.  Sure, he's struggled during this post-season, but even struggling he's far better than any center the Celtics have had on their team in years and years.

I don't feel like digging through the cesspool at the moment (actually, I have to forsake the Celtics to watch Pacquiao-Moseley), but how much do Lakers fans believe the story that Laker team chemistry is in the toilet because Paul Gasol blames Kobe Bryant (and his wife) for Gasol's break-up with his fiancee?

Laker fans are a joke.  Without Pau none of the success they've enjoyed this last three plus years would have happened and they would be more than likely 3 or more championships behind us.

Jw are you from the Phillipines? And where did this rumor start about Pau and his fiancee?

Wow, Lakers fans are delusional.  It's like a Celtics fan calling KG slow and lazy... which would never happen.

If you go on twitter, and search Pau Gasol, all you see is people bashing him. It's quite sad. I feel bad for the guy because he's done SO much for them, and they're already throwing him out the window. Maybe he'll feel scorned, and sign here  ;)

I have heard the rumor about him and his fiance and such a sad thing to hear. Don't know how true it is that he's blaming Kobe, but they have been on edge for quite some time now. They always yell at Pau. He's going to turn into "Black Swan" once he leaves LA.
