Yep, I'm very confident that the Celtics will not only win the next 2 games, but also win game 5, giving themselves a 3-2 edge in this series.

The Heat have been very fortunate thus far, and I don't expect it will last because this Celtics squad will not allow it to last. They know what they need to fix. They understand that it's one game at a time. Miami being up 2-0 in no shape or form guarantees that any other game in this series is automatically their victory, and despite all the flamboyant celebrations, deep down even the Miami Heat know that. In fact, the pressure is now on the Heat even more after those two wins to prove they can finish this thing up.

They will have to fight to get those wins. A lot of things have worked out just right for the Heat thus far in this series for them to come away with those wins, and even then they still could have lost both games.

The Heat being up 2-0 means absolutely nothing. The way I see it is that the Heat have just ensured that we're looking at a 6 to 7 game series. This Celtics team, I'm confident, will make it happen. Some might have thought the Heat looked like the better team thus far, but that isn't the case.

The Heat are an inferior team with their flaws being masked by near perfect play from Lebron and Wade. I don't expect this to last because this Celtics team will not allow it to last. I will come back and make my next post in this thread when Celtics get their first win of this series in game 3.

The Heat have had a 14 number edge on free throw attempts in both games thus far. 14 more free throws taken in game 1, 14 more free throws attempted in game 2.

If that number isn't so high, we are talking about a series that is likely even at 1-1 or that has the Celtics up 2-0. The Celtics will make sure that they get to the free throw line more to get rid of this silly and unthinkable advantage that has been secretly carrying this Heat team, more so than the other mistakes that have plagued us in this series.

After game 4, this series will be tied at 2. Shaq will make a difference, but more than that, I believe Garnett and Pierce will make sure that this thread proves true. I'm not counting out Ray or Rondo and others, they'll be bringing the effort as well.

They can bring the effort and thats fine but the bottom line is the two best players in this series are on Miami's team.  We need to have subpar effort from those two for the Cs to get back in the series.  This is why I always favored playng the Bulls over the Heat cuz the Bulls would only have the best player in the series and not two.

No idea?  Dwade and LBJ have both been to the NBA finals.  I think they have an idea of playing in a Game 3 on the road in the 2nd round no?

Oh, I think they have an idea.  LeBron's lost to us twice in the playoffs, D-Wade once.  And I'll bet Bosh saw some of it on TV   ;D

Tonight is exactly why I felt this way, man. Pierce and Garnett, I knew, would do everything in their power to make sure they got this game, and that's exactly what happened.

You clearly saw it from the other players, too.

West and Green gave good effort.  But, I 'm not sure KG and PP can play like this everygame , given their age. Same with Shaq, and JO is still recovering somewhat as well. No matter how much their heart is in it , their bodies might not be able to continue at this level.  I sure hope so....but I'm not counting on it.

Other than West and Green ...Doc don't trust the rest of them to hold a lead.

I guess Baby is at IHOP getting ready for mondays game.

I'm more worried about injuries than the player's confidence.

Both of our centers can barely play, West hurt his shoulder, and Rondo dislocated his elbow (ouch...).

Age and injuries might make the final decision not heart.

Go Celtics.
Celtics' turn on switch for the playoffs: the last bastion of hope for battered Celtic fans.

Celtics need to win game 4, then ALL the pressure is on Miami.

And they are going home to [mostly] fake fans who are going to be disapointed.

Once this team is down, they have no "Rocky" in them.

If we win game 4, the series is ours for the taking.

I think the Heat won a championship with one elite player in 2006.  Just saying.

I love the confidence, but I don't share it.  That's not to say that I count the C's out of this series. BUT, it's going to be a very hard series to win.  It's true that the 2 best players belong to Miami, and it's also true that Miami's role players (other than Bosh and Miller) have played pretty well. Miami needs to have it together for only 2 of the next 5 games while the C's need to be healthy enough to win 3 out of 5.

Last night was phenomenal and I'll be rooting and praying tomorrow night.  If they go back to Miami 2-2, that's great but we'll still need to win 2 more (and 1 of those in Miami).

Keep the confidence going and the positive Karma -- I'll be rooting alongside you, but true to my screen name, I'll also be worrying.

Go C's!
