Simple as that its the playoffs if he looked good in practice get him out there. I also think he sould be saying listen Doc this is my body I know i can go. He isn't dumb if he knew he was holding the team back in the game he would take himself out. He needs to play this is the playoffs and were down 0-2.. We could just use his 6 fouls on defense right now. I hontesly feel we need him more in this series then any other series that could arise from this. WE NEED DISEAL POWER!

He's not in game shape.  He may give it a go...but it's just going to be another disappointment

I'd rather see  him out there then go down 0-3 with him in a suit.. At least he can say he tried.

They should have taken the chance and played him last night. Sometimes you have to role the dice.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

yea because those 6 points and good defense in the 5 mins he played before he got injured against Detroit was a disappointment right?

The Calf injury wasn't due to him not being in game shape it was because he was favors his achilles.

He wasn't in game shape then and looked great before getting injured, if his injuries are now mostly healed he should be able to go for at least 10 mins a night and get the crowd and his teammates pumped up with monster dunks and changing/blocking shots and laying out hard fouls to anyone that enters the paint.

He would be a big boost if only for 10 mins a game

he may have been injury prone, but he looked great in those 6minutes he played against detroit...if he can give us that kind of production were in good shape.

honestly, I see shaq suiting up for game 3. the guy is NOT going to let his window to grab a 5th ring close while he sits on the bench in a suit and his team goes 0-3

his return may have a bigger impact on this series than we think. clogging the lane for lebron, wade and providing scoring in the post

It is time for Shaq to take whatever pills and shots that are  necessary to get his big body on the court on Saturday. I have a gut feeling he will play and our team could use the mental boost of his big presence.

It is time for the Heat to fear driving to the basket for fear of getting swatted by a stationary giant! 10-15 minutes of Shaq means 10-15 less minutes of Nenad/Big Baby.

1 Game at a time..Go Celtics..it all turns around on Saturday!

He needs to try.  Even if he only can give us 2 minute shifts at a time.  If he plays a total of 10 minutes, it's 10 less minutes of Big Baby.  We really need his inside presence.
do it

I don't think it will make a difference.  Shaq won't be able to keep up with what the Heat are doing to the Celtics. He'll get run off the floor. And even if he does play well,  it will only be for 12 minutes.

I don't see how what he did in 5 minutes against the Detroit Pistons has anything to do with this current situation.

He can't get through practice, he is nowhere near ready to play.

Celtics 3-0 with Shaq

0-3 without Shaq.

Shaq forces Miami's hand.  Celtics can not matchup in a full court running game.

I am coming around to this.  Miami is just too good at capitalizing on mistakes.  They need to be made uncomfortable on defense, so the C's can force them into making mistakes, and Shaq is the one guy on the roster who can do that.  He is just such a force inside, and such a good passer from the post, he really would make a difference.

Exactly.  We're trying to slow things down, but to slow things down you really need an inside presence.  KG and Glen Davis are too scared to get in the post.  Jermaine O'Neal isn't very good down there.  We need Shaq so we can start getting some points inside and take away some of the bad jumpers we're taking.

For the record, I don't think KG and Davis are scared to get in the post.  I just think the Heat's defense has taken it away with quick double teams (well, on KG...Davis is just not a great low post player).

But Shaq is just so much bigger, and he takes up so much space down there, he can deal with the doubles much better, and can make the passes out of them better.
