We're down 0-2.  But there are plenty reasons to feel good about our team.

1.  The Heat simply held serve at home.  It's our turn with Game 3 and 4.  We hold serve and we're back to having a series with a crucial Game 5 on tap.

2.  We battled in Game 2.  LeBron was making unbelievable shot after unbelievable shot and we were right in the thick of it until about 5 minutes left when we fell apart.  This is what I call a 50/50 game.  When 2 teams battle right down to the wire- it all depends on a few baskets to steal the momentum.  The Heat stole that momentum with some electrifying moves from LeBron and his back-to-back 3's.  That could've easily been Ray's 3's and Paul's 3's.  Just didn't happen for us last night.  And this is why home games are crucial- the crowd gave them a lift everytime we got a 2-point advantage.  This shows that we have FIGHT and this is the single most important thing I can take away from Game 2.  I have more than enough confidence in this team that we can do great with our home crowd.

3. Bruins beat Montreal after being down 0-2.  Plenty other teams have climbed out of a 0-2 hole to win the series.

4.  Doc Rivers, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo ARE walking through the door this Saturday night.  Will you be there to watch them take down the Heat?  This is what playoff basketball is all about baby, overcoming adversity and getting to the top.

5.  Last one.  Just ask yourself this, will you be already be celebrating Banner 18 if we were in the Finals and up 2-0 on the Lakers with Game 3 and 4 in LA?  Nah.  Know why?  Cause every game is always a game and from what I've learned from these Celtics, we ALWAYS make it a game.

See you guys next week.

I'm hoping when they take a look at the tape, they see that the Heat had absolutely no answer for a 1-4 or 1-5 pick and roll with Rondo. The success rate of that play was incredible, easy bucket after easy bucket. I hope this is something Mr. Triple Double at Red's Army highlights, because it was honestly amazing.

I haven't the least idea why they went away from it, but I hope it's something we see all game for the rest of the series.

Yeah, i missed the game (work), but if what you say is true, i have been preaching for more of that play for the past 4 years.  So if it worked, gosh darn it lets run it every time.

Thanks, and TP, Employee#8, for reminding me to practice what I preach!  I fell off the band wagon last night, (I don't think that level of discouragement has ever happened to me before) but, thanks to your post, I am ready to climb back on.

I'd guess that Mr. Triple Double at Red's army will post it. It was a real success. They altered between the traditional style, and then running it closer to the block when Bibby was backing off.

Employee#8, I have received three calls so far this morning...friends(?) asking, "What happened to the Celtics last night?"   I took the liberty of reading your letter to them...you put it much better than I could...I would have unconvincingly mumbled something about the series not being over yet...

Thanks again.

Sorry no way they lose this series, it's going seven and the C's will be victorious. The Heat already think they've won, they have no idea the storm that is headed their way!

I don't post here often, I mainly read, but just to chime in, how many times have we seen this team come back from a bad situation?  With the spirit and talent on this team, we MIGHT go down, but we won't make it easy for the Heat, at the very least.

I still fully believe in Boston and I think we're gonna take both at home.  ONE game at a time.  Win game 3 and suddenly anything is possible.

KG, Pierce, and Ray do NOT want to go out without a fight.  They'll go out on their own watch, in style.

I thought in Game 2 they were on the right track for about 80% of the game, and then things kind of fell apart in the middle of the 4th quarter.

The key to this for me is limiting turnovers.  If you let Miami get out and run we have no chance.  If the Celts can hold onto the ball better and make Miami play in the half court, there is no reason we can't take these next two games.

Also, I want to see a Rondo, Ray, Pierce, Green, KG lineup more often.  I am trying to be a Green defender but at the 3 he hasn't been great, but at the 4 he seems a lot more comfortable.  Baby has given you absolutely nothing so at this point it can't hurt.

Also, Celts need to become more aggressive/physical.  I don't know if this is possible in the Post-Perk world, as I don't think I have seen it.  But I want to see some solid hard fouls.  The knock on Wade/Bosh/Lebron has been that they haven't been able to overcome adversity. So if we can get a win and do so in a physical fashion, I am confident in the Heat's ability to turtle.

A wise man once said, "The series doesn't begin until the home team loses a game."

I've always said, "Until it goes to 3-0, whoever wins the next game has the advantage."

If the Celts win game 3, the Heat get nervous b/c the Celts will have momentum and a chance to tie the series.

The key is to focus on 1 game at a time (1981 vs Philly, down 3-1, 1968 also down 3-1 to Philly, 1969 down 2-0 to LA).
