Remember this guy?

Seriously. He went from being a scorer/clutch performer for the team, a closer and a guy trusted by his teammates, to a total liability on the court. Granted he doesn't foul at Mikki Moore's rate but his defense is just as bad. And the problem is that he plays way more minutes and takes way more shots than Milki did.

It's amazing to me that this is the production we are getting out of him during the post-season in a CONTRACT YEAR.

With that said, I think if BBD didn't force up those two awful shots when the game was still close about half-way through the fourth, he wouldn't be catching such a bad wrap for his performance tonight.

In less than 3 months!

Where did it all begin? When he had to start for KG for a few games, and people started to call for his head because he took too many shots, right?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Yeah I really hope Danny doesn't sign him back.  I'm done with Davis, he needs a new team.

Maybe he's worrying about the contract?  Everyone doesn't react the same way to playing for a contract.  Maybe if he was extended a year he would play better and not worry about it?  I don't know.

No wonder I got his jersey for 10 dollars at AJ Wright.

Seriously though.
This guy is a totally a liability if I've ever seen one.

Celtics need the BBD of the past two playoff runs for this series...and unfortunately he's nowhere to be found.

haha good one.

In this series Davis on Bosh is not a favorable matchup. Bosh can shoot over him or take him to the rim with ease.

Yet Doc keeps marching him out there for his regualr minutes despite the fact that he is overmatched. Doc will never learn until the series is over.

If you want Davis on the floor he needs to play at the three with Pierce at the 2 and either KG and Jermaine or KG and Green
at the 4/5.

This thread makes me so mad. You know why?

Because Davis has ALWAYS been bad. This isn't a new thing!!!!!!!

He had one playoff series where he was decent on offense (the Orlando series) and that's it. A measly seven game hot-streak. And apart from that, Baby has always been terrible.

He can't rebound, and that's not new. He can't defend, and that's also not new. He can't score efficiently, and that has always been the case. In fact, nothing is new about his performance. Go look up the stats if you don't believe me.

The only difference is he's been getting played far more minutes so everybody is finally noticing it. The reality is he sucks now and always has and probably always will, and it kills me that people needed to be hit over the head with his severe level of suck-ness in order to finally realize what I've known and ranted about for years.

If Doc rolls Davis out there to defend the three for a solitary second, he should be fired on the spot. Turn the team over to Lawrence Frank. Or Frank Gifford. Or Larry O'Brien. Or Conan O'Brien. Anyone.

There's no excuse to EVER play Davis at the three.

I was pumped. The Celtics cut the lead, brought in Paul, and before Paul gets a chance to do his thing, Baby turns the game around for the Heat by forcing those shots. Wants to be the Hero. On the other hand, Paul has got to step up his game. The good news, this has happened to Paul in the past. I expect the captain to come out strong and finish this series by leading the Celtics to 4 wins.

Agreed. Although Davis isn't a horrible player in the NBA I just think he is better when he plays limited minutes. I hope Danny let's him go next season.

Davis on Bosh, how bout Davis on Joel Anthony. Baby somehow is surprising you guys, that I don't get at all. I still find myself peeved that he isn't getting Rasheed's treatment yet. Some of you are as mind numbing as Danny and Doc's trust for him. It hasn't been a fair match up when Baby has been on the floor whatsoever for C's but Doc can down with that ship. Can't wait to hear from the person who makes the point about every other player other than Baby, disregarding deep holes brought on directly after he enters the game. Trade baskets til he misses shots which lead to grave hole burying his team. I imagine Baby fans are huge Darius Butler fans. You payed $10 for a Baby jersey? Did it at least come with a tampon, if not you got robbed.
