On the whole, Green had another fairly bad game on Sunday.  Had some bad turnovers, some missed assignments, and some shots blocked.

But, for the first time, I also saw some fire out of him.  I'm not referrng the threes he hit, but more that he finally showed some agression toward the end of the game.

Kid obviously has talent.  The only holding him back is his passiveness.  I think the last game finally lit a fire under Green that he will carry over to this game.

We can only hope, im a huge Green fan, but I feel like the Starters are going to play too well tonight for the bench to make too much of a huge affect. Not for nothing, Glen Davis has been terrible.

I swear I've heard this at least once before every game since we got him....I'm still waiting for it to happen.

..but I will say that I do hope so.

I am among the last of the Jeff Green hopefuls -- BUT, it just feels like wishful thinking.

Better chance of happening this series:

Jeff Green Breakout Game or Shaq Plays?

I don't think Green is going to have a breakout game in this series unless he is given time at power forward against Miami's small lineups.

I just don't think there is enough time for him to have a dominant performance otherwise.

So, I am not looking for him to have a major game.

Just a good game. Take advantage of Miller/Jones in the post when they are defending you (score maybe 6-8 points) + play solid defense on LeBron + do a solid job on the glass. Say 20-22 minutes, 8-10 efficient points and 3-4 rebounds.

Do those things and I'll be delighted with Green's contributions.

Definitely Shaq plays.  Shaq will play at some point in this series, even if only for a little while.

Isn't this what we say before every game? hoping its the game? so far green is proving to be a big negative missing open shots and providing nothing else.

He looks sad, worn, and confused there... doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

8 points and 2 boards in 6 minutes for Green with Pierce out, so he's stepping up so far.

He better break out with Pierce injured.
