Paul Pierce will not be punished any further after being ejected from yesterday's 99-90 loss to the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

I'm surprised the league didn't suspend him with how bad of decisions they make.  Good to have Paul for game 2... He is needed and will have a huge game after what had happened yesterday.

That's a blessing man, that woulda been a series-killer.

The NBA is just so inconsistent with things like this

I was expecting Jones to be assessed a retroactive flagrant, and Paul to get a suspension. Glad it didn't happen.

I bet Pierce comes out breathing fire in Game 2, but I really hope he hurts Miami by making the extra pass, driving to the hole, or playing lockdown D. I don't want to see him taking a lot of shots (unless he makes all of them).

Agreed, if Rondo and Pierce attack the lane all night, we win easily...

a three point heave is not "always" needed...

Great news. I figured since there is a conspiracy against the Celtics and that yesterday's game was fixed that for sure Pierce would be suspended for game 2  ;D

Was this even a question?  It would have been beyong blatant had they suspended PP.

But if this is all the news we are going to get, then I still am not happy.  JO's flagrant needs to be taken away and jones or wade (or both) should get one assessed.

Of course, it won't happen.

I see Paul getting to the line a TON this game.

Some people will say that he is being more aggressive but in reality it will be the ref's making up for their blunders in game 1.

Paul Pierce is going to live  at the free throw line. can't wait

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.  Officials hate being shown up, even by the league.

I wouldn't hold my breath because PP simply doesn't not have the physical advantage to force james to foul him.
