It took the C's one half to get the rust off them, of having a week off. The 2nd half the Celtics really got back into this game by cutting a14 point half time lead down to single digits. But it was then time for the officials to go into offensive mode and really help out the Heat. They sent the Heat to the free throw line 32 times just to make sure the Heat would win the game. Then came the 4th quarter and it was time to throw Paul out of the game for setting up 2 clean screens on Wade. That was the only time I turned the mute button off so I could listen to the Heat cheerleaders ( Breen, Van Dummy and Mark Jackson) give an explanation of the call. I am really glad I had the mute button on because all they were doing was showing replays of Heat plays. I really can't stand watching the playoffs on ABC and TNT, because all the announcers that do the Celtic games are Knick announcers. And they are so biased against the Celtics. The Celtics will win game 2 in Miami and come back to Boston tied at 1 each. Then the Celtics will have to battle the Heat and officials in order to win the Series. But I have alot of faith in this team that they will beat the Heat.

I also turned the MUTE button on.
Celtics will need to make adjustments and hit shots.

Totally agree with this post. The announcers are so excruciating to listen too. Really one sided. I really should put it on mute like the above poster said

It was rust, and Celtics will definitely win this series

Celts will give a better effort in Game 2 and I expect a win.

Can't take away anything from the Heat today though.  They outplayed and outworked the Celts and deserved the win.
Yup

KG's swats at the end of the game were hopefully a little taste of what's to come.

This game totally showed, that the Celtics would obviously win this series

With all this going on
-Bogus calls against the Celtics
-Sluggish and horrible play

And they were still in this game and only lost by 9. Celtics are gonna come out totally focused and take control of this series

tp for a rare optimist its 1 game! id rather see us lose with our 3 stars playing like crap while James Jones has a career day and having the refs 100% against us than lose in a close game where we are obviously outplayed.

Celtics record in the last 10 series dating back to 1987 Finals have always won Game 2 when dropping the 1st game of a series.

1992 Won in Cleveland (Birds last year)
1991 Won against Detriot in Game 2
1994 Won in Orlando (Boston Gardens last stand)
2002 Won in Detroit and again in New Jersey
2003 Lost both games in New Jersey
2005 Lost every game to Indiana
2009 Beat Chicago and Orlando after losing game 2
2010 Beat Cleveland in Game 2

I think it is 10-2 in Game 2's after Game 1 was lost. Any volunteers want to check Basketball Reference dot com to check my memory?
The beatings will continue until morale improves

This next game is a MUST WIN IMO if we want to win the series

Otherwise we would have to win 4 of the next 5 with the last being on there homecourt  it'll be tough

It could kind of mess with us mentally as well if we drop the next one having loss 3 straight to them

True. I saw the old KG in the 4th quarter. He even had his usual posterizing slam on a fastbreak. It was like, "Oh my, that's the KG I used to see on highlights". It was sweet. He was in high-flying mode once again. The "lost" lift was there and it really surprised me.

Frankly, I am somewhat relieved after this game though sad we got a loss. However, our team was on a week's rest and kind of rusty. So losing game 1 in Miami - yes in Miami - and showing some life in the 4th only made me more excited as this series progresses. Imagine if we lost this game in our home floor. I think we somehow created a situation where the Heat are pressured more to win game 2. The game 1 win failed to display or qualify any form of a possible dominance of the Heat over us. It only led to more questions that need to be answered in this series.

So yes, I believe we can win this series.
