The refs didn't help us by any means, but we were down double digits before that.

Truthfully, Pierce should have been ejected on the first tech and I'll be surprised if he isn't suspended for Game 2.  It's literally the exact same thing ZaZa from Atlanta got suspended for in the last series against Orlando

Your wrong.
Pierce got in Jones face after Jones nearly ripped his head off. Zaza headbutted, Pierce got in his face. Big, Huge, enormous difference.
If Pierce is suspended David Stern will be ..... never mind

Dwayne Wade literally lowered his shoulder into Pierce's chest. That kind of play is blatantly flagrant.

Jones literally wrapped Pierce's head up. How are these 2 things not flagrants, but that innocent foul by Jermaine is? Absolute rubbish.

Refs getting caught up in the game and the chaos of the home crowd and making calls in favor of the home team.

That's home court advantage for ya.

this was similar to the cleveland series last year where we had to beat the refs AND cleveland, and did! this was not as bad as game 7 of the finals last year where the lakers did the free throw parade.

Stop blaming refs guys.

The head ref, Dan Crawford, said after the game "there wasn't a headbutt" so there. No suspension.

per Woj's twitter:

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Crawford on Pierce 1st tech vs. J. Jones: "He approached Jones and got right in his face. There wasn't a head-butt...."

All three were momentum changing calls, and yet some people think we shouldn't blame the refs? Are you kidding me? You usually get 1 momentum changing call a game at most, not 3.

Flagant on JO followed by the 3 hurt a lot.  However, I don't really beleive we'd have won the game without the bad calls.  It will balance out.

Go back and look at ZaZa's multiple, purposeful, neck-jerking head butts and tell me it was the same thing.  You are incorrect.

If people don't think the JO flagrant was significant, then how about two flagrant fouls by wade and jones that doc Rivers himself said weren't called, leading to the two techs on Pierce?

Both moves by Wade and Jones, were clear flagrants. You can't lower your shoulder into another player like that. You can't go after a guy's head the way jones did, practically headlocking him.

You just can't do those things, and the refs allowed that crap. I'll say again, the refs were responsible for why the Celts didn't

#1 win this game

or

#2 weren't much to contention for this win today.

End of story.

Celtics played horribly, but the officiating wasn't much better. That's a problem, win or lose.

Not gonna disagree, but if the Celtics are just going to sit and whine about the calls without realizing how poorly they played then they are in trouble.

Bad calls are not, Celtics have to play hard and well if they want to win.

WIN OR GO HOME.

Is the celtics playing horribly mutually exclusive from the refs killing us?

You can win a game playing horribly. You can win a game against bad refs. You can't win a game when the two things are going on.

"The Fix is In" author Brian Tuohy was on Coast-to-Coast
AM last night. He said the fix is in for the Bulls to
get to the Finals, because President Obama will actually
attend a game if they get there.

Celtics were robbed of fair competition tonight.
You did not see fair competition, point blank !

I agree 100%

Celtics played horribly, refs officiated horribly. that makes it impossible to win. Take away those calls and I think we might be talking about a win, or atleast a closer game (with Pierce in it)
