Look, I'll criticize them for the loss, but you can't watch that game and not factor in the b.s. Everything possible went wrong and we still didn't get blown away. That tells me a lot more about how out of sync Boston played than how much of a firebreathing dragon the Heat is. Garnett was hesitant and was overthinking. Pierce was looking away from the ball too much and there was generally too much dribbling. Rondo's two fouls were bad, but that third one was bogus like a lot of the calling down the stretch. He didn't start coming out of it until it was a little late. That brings me to my main point. This was a league party for the Heat and the Cs didn't play up to snuff after that layoff, but even after all that they still managed to slowly wake up in the second half.
To me this game has its own identity and hopefully it won't be so biased the next time out, but even more I believe in the hell of this game the C's shook off the rust towards the end. They need to come out the gates and play like that and momentum will swing. I really hope people don't go into 'master of panic' mode with comments of "time to rebuild" and validations of the team's demise having "no chance". If you think they won't win the series, cool, but even with that mindset you have to own up to the fact that nothing is in stone with one game.
