I'd add Pierce and KG to the con list.

The only one who should be pro is Ray. Everyone else played like crap...which is why I'm pretty optimistic heading into Game 2.

And yet Ray's man went off more than anybody.  Captain definitely in the 'con' for losing his cool.

It wasn't just "any man" though, we're talking about one of the two best players in the game. I thought Ray played decent defense on him, but Wade just played incredible.

Pierce bad start led to Miami's big lead in 1st half. He was turning the ball over Heat converts them on the other end. He had 3 TO in 1st half that led to 6points for the Heat. Rondo getting in foul trouble didn't help either. The key for game2 is Rondo AGAIN. If he plays 40+minutes Celtics win.

boston needs to finish the first quarter strong. they seem to be good until about 3 minutes left the quarter and the other team goes on a run. but i think they will be much better tuesday

  • Rondo = Good
Rondo was bad in this game, therefore the Celtics stunk.

That's all you need to know.  Forget about the refs.  Unless Rondo plays like an All-Star, the Celtics are going to get beaten by any decent team.

Exactly.

But still, adjustments weren't made, KG and PAUL did not step up and hit any big shots, and the refs were TERRIBLE, and most importantly the weak side defense was atrocious!!

Tommy just threw out an F bomb in the post game show.

He has lost his mind and should be forced to retire. Second time he has used profanity this year.

If Rondo doesn't show up we're doomed frankly.

Maybe Perkins losing today threw him off? :P

james jones will NOT shoot like that again.

If the Celts do not guard him he might.

well, its something to take from this is that the Cavs won the first game againt the Celtics last year and we went on to win...

but, its doubtful james jones is going to have 23points a game, or Wade 37...those things are anomolies just like Melos 42point game. theyll come back to earth game 2

and hopefully Pierce/Rondo play the way they did last series, agressive

boston will shake off the rust and win game 2. i dont see wade and james jones scoring 39 and 23 points again. I expect we see a better rondo and pierce.
i am concerned that the refs will not allow boston to defend without calling fouls on them

...and Pierce

Look, I'll criticize them for the loss, but you can't watch that game and not factor in the b.s. Everything possible went wrong and we still didn't get blown away. That tells me a lot more about how out of sync Boston played than how much of a firebreathing dragon the Heat is. Garnett was hesitant and was overthinking. Pierce was looking away from the ball too much and there was generally too much dribbling. Rondo's two fouls were bad, but that third one was bogus like a lot of the calling down the stretch. He didn't start coming out of it until it was a little late. That brings me to my main point. This was a league party for the Heat and the Cs didn't play up to snuff after that layoff, but even after all that they still managed to slowly wake up in the second half.

To me this game has its own identity and hopefully it won't be so biased the next time out, but even more I believe in the hell of this game the C's shook off the rust towards the end. They need to come out the gates and play like that and momentum will swing. I really hope people don't go into 'master of panic' mode with comments of "time to rebuild" and validations of the team's demise having "no chance". If you think they won't win the series, cool, but even with that mindset you have to own up to the fact that nothing is in stone with one game.

Add Doc and the rest of the coaching staff to the "con" list.

Can't believe they got the team prepared for that performance.
