If I were Doc I would have pulled my team off the floor.  At this point it was quite clear what was going on, with a 32-18 free throw advantage for the heat.  I think it would have sent the right message if Doc just took his team and walked off.

I fully agree with every point. If I were Doc, I would look at the ref and say "you want to see what a hard foul looks like?" I would then put in Kristic and tell him to take out Wade badly, and then Doc should stare down the ref and say "that's what a hard foul looks like, not a weak bump to a cutter through the lane."

Does anyone know the NBA's criteria for handing out suspensions? If Pierce gets suspended for game 2 I'm gonna go crazy. Supposedly Zaza's headbutt that he got suspended for was similar.

I was just shocked at how the announcers chose to completely over look it. Pierce set one good pick and Wades bumps it on the way by. Ray turns back Pierce sets and even better won Wade sees the pick lowers his shoulder and puts on the jets and hits him what clearly should've been a flagrant offensive foul. Pierce takes it like a man and obviously lets Wade know he's no light weight. Pierce is ejected nothing was said about Wade's play during the game. I'm p---ed!

The NBA definitely fixes games in my opinion.  We have been the beneficiaries of it in the past as well.  But I really don't have any questions in my mind that there results that the league wants and it gets them.

But these weren't examples of Wade and James getting questionable "and ones" when they barely get brushed on drives to the basket.  These were blatantly horrible calls that very well could remind people of Tim Donaghy.  And they changed the game.  In all instances, the C's were in the middle of the run, and literally had 3-5 point swings happen the other way.  

And to the poster above, I can't imagine the league will have the gall to suspend Pierce.  He should've never been tossed in the first place.

It wasn't similar at all. He repeatedly headbutted while Pierce just pushed him. And then there's the mess with the ejection. I really don't expect a suspension.

Meaning that they fix it. If theres "questionable" calls, it means the game is not called correctly. Wade and James are the bigger stars, hence the more favored calls for them to win this series. The refs are trying very very hard

Timmy D was the not only one. Refs try hard but the NBA does have the highest home winning percentage of any sport and studies show stars get the calls so yeah the reffing is an issue. Stern forgets we have HD TV, PVRS and youtube.

It was bad enough that he got ejected, there is no reason to suspend him.

And please, that so-called "headbut" does not deserve a suspension.
