Just in case some still needed to know.

3-1 during the regular season means nothing.
Them having trouble with sixers means nothing.
Thinking lebron is a choker means nothing.
Our supposed bench advantage means nothing.
Their early season and team struggles mean nothing.
Even their late game strggles mean nothing.
And no, it wasn't the refs either.

Today was nothing more than them imposing their will on us. It wasn't rust. It wasn't apathy from us. It wasn't us missing shots. It wasn't them making shots they can't make again.

I'm not saying the series is over. Of course it isn't. We have some advantages that we didn't take adavqntage of. Paul can play better. We absolutely have to them pay for doubling.  Shaq might help.

But make no mistake about.  Many of these advantages that people were pointing to are not really advantages. The regular season means nothing. Their defense is for real. They have two great players. If the celts don't step up, they could get blown away.

Make no mistake about it; the celts could lose.

I'll tell you why we'll win this series:

We're angry now. Bad blood. Love it. If the refs don't screw us over, we'll win this series, mark my words:

with some dirty, NASTY basketball.

The Heat certainly look like a much better team right now.  More talent in the starting 5, better team defense, better transition offense, and a more productive (read: productive at all) bench.

This game has sucked.  The series isn't over yet, though.

We lost Game 1 against the Cavs last year.

We got killed in Game 3 against the Cavs last year.

Each time, we bounced back and didn't quit.  How we respond in Game 2 is the key.  If we come out, play hard, and win, then we're right back in this series.

Don't know if Miami looks much better.  They played better, but I'm inclined to think having a week off contributed a little to that.  Also, Miami and the Knicks seemed to bring an attitude to game 1 of each series that the Celtics didn't seem to bring.  I'm very disappointed with that.
We all think we know more than we really do....

I hate to say it but anger means NOTHING.  We have to outplay them. No amount intangibles will help us.

Disagree. After Pierce got ejected, we played harder, smarter. Wanted it more. We saw a couple more passes, better D near the end.

I like us a LOT better when we're mad.

Or, they could win. Same as every series.

The next game will tell us what we need to know. Boston was made a fool of today. They couldn't do anything right and let Miami step on them. But they only lost by 9 after how bad they stank. A lose is a lose but they should've lost by 15-20+

I hope Boston gets mad. I hope the whole team is p---ed. I hope they bring it then next game. And I hope Paul won't get a DUMB T so when they give him a Bull T later it won't matter.

Believe it or not there's good signs from the second half of this...

1. The bench is showing signs of life (seriously)
2. I'm not sure I buy the "rusty" theory since we had a week off. BUT... we looked just as bad in the first half against the Knicks. We ended up barely winning that game, but the Knicks aren't the Heat. You can't dig yourself that big of a hole against a team like this. But in the second half we outplayed them for most part.
3. Bosh got completely shut down.
4. We're mad now.

It's possible.  But a few things to consider.

1) The refs sucked today.  The flagrant foul on Jermaine that was barely even a regular foul, the no-call flagrant on Jones, and the second T on Pierce radically changed the game.  In all three instances the C's were making a run and threatening to close the lead to a few points and the refs blew it.  If the C's make a big enough stink about it today and tomorrow, the refs will have to stop that crap.

2) Wade played out of his mind.  Wade is a fairly good shooter, but he won't shoot 70% on those shots any other game this series.

3) Rondo missed the entire second quarter, Pierce missed most of the 4th, and there was no Shaq.  Hopefully none of those things will ever happen again.

4) Jones likely won't do that again.

Granted, LeBron and Bosh will likely play better in other games; however, they likely won't shoot a high enough percentage to outweigh what Jones and Wade did today.

I think Miami played about as well as they could. And Boston for the most part played as bad as they could at times. But they never gave up and made runs. But Miami answered every run and one time they had help by Paul being thrown out.

Win game two and this won't mean a darn thing.

Lebron and the Heat have young legs and we don't have enough of that.  We are almost certainly going to get weaker and them stronger as the series goes on.  I don't like our chances at all.  I predicted 4-1 Heat in another thread, because they do also have very good and active hands.

This game was not a fluke. without an inside game we are toast.

Sure we'll give em game 1. They had to play superb basketball and energy depleting defense to beat us. Then a jerk ref tosses Pierce in a playoff game. Rondo had a nightmare game. We need the next game. I'm confident.
