Here is my fantasy Chris Paul and Dwight Howard 3 team trade. With Chris Paul's injury concerns and maybe of a down season I think it could be almost of a straight up deal with Rondo. I think NO would love to cut as much salary as possible. Orlando, if rumors are true, would like a starting caliber center in return like a Lopez or Bynum along with picks. So how about this?
New Orleans
Send
Chris Paul $14.9M, Emaka Okafer $11.5M
Receive
Rajon Rondo $9.1M, A. Bradley $1.4M, Marquis Daniels $2.4M trade exception, Erden and Harongody total about $1M trade exception, Gortat $6.3M trade exception, R Lewis $1.8M trade exception
Orlando
Send
Dwight Howard $16.6M, Gortat $6.3M trade exception, R Lewis $1.8M trade exception
Receive
Okafer $11.5M, Jeff Green, $4.5M, J. O'Neal $5.8M, maybe a S & T with Davis , Clippers first round pick, 1 or 2 more of our own picks.
Boston
Send
Rondo $9.1M, Daniels, Erden, Harongody trade exceptions $3.4M, Bradley $1.4M, Green $4.5M, J. O'Neal $5.8M, possibly Davis, 2 or 3 draft picks including the Clippers pick.
Receive
Dwight Howard $16.6M, Chris Paul $14.9M
NO would save roughly $10M in those trade exceptions and I'm heard they are desperate to cut salary. They get out of Okafer's 4 remaining years at a steep price. They get a comparable player to Paul in Rondo as well as our first rounder last year in Bradley.
Orlando would get a solid starting center under contract for another 4 years and some nice young players in Green, Davis, that Clippers pick, maybe some of our own, an expiring contract in J O'Neal. I don't know if they could do that much better dealing with NJ or the Lakers.
