Both are out of the playoffs in the first round and both will be expiring next year. Magic and Hornets will have to trade them like Nuggets trade Melo. I hope Danny already started to work on a plan how to bring Howard or both here. I think maybe they will be traded this summer.

The big question is how to bring them here and not in LA,Chicago,New York...

Boston Sends[/u][/u]
JO (6 - 7 mil expiring
Jeff Green( 7mil qualifying offer)
Avery Bradley
2-3 1st rd picks
Filler

Orlando sends
Dwight Howard

then

Boston sends

Rondo
Filler

New Orleans sends

Chris Paul

 ;D

the truth is we would probably have to add both of these trades together just to have a shot at getting one of these guys

something like

Rondo, Green and 2 1st rd picks for Howard or Paul

I was wondering if we can include Ray or KG expiring contact for Turkoglu or Arenas and then they bought out Ray and Ray signs with us again. And the Magic will have a lot of salary cap space then. The trade should look like this:

Howard,Turkoglu for Green,Davis,Bradley,3first picks, JO, Ray

But is it posible Ray to be bought out and resign with us?

I'd be surprised if either player left this summer.

I am expecting this to happen closer to the trade deadline or via free agency the following summer.

Please not the Lakers. Dwight to NY or NJ I could see. Why not the Clippers? Kaman/Bledsoe/Foye and picks for Dwight?

I have trouble imagining Howard wanting to play with Kobe.

in all honesty, kobe doesn't have too many years left in him, Pau and Bynum do however.Pairing Dwight with Pau could be a long term force.

I would hope that Danny would work a trade for Paul involving Rondo and the Clippers 2012 pick.

Totally not worth it. Rondo is as good or better imo. We should build around him with a great scorer, maybe with the clippers pick, and a defensive center like Howard. Paul also has a lot of injury history for a guy his age.

Did Danny suspect that we would never face Orlando in the playoffs?  Remember how when the Perk trade went down, one of the first things folks said was, "Who is going to defend Howard?  Perk is very good at that."

I see Chris Paul going to New York with Billups contract to create another very good Big-3 there.  I have no idea if this could work.

i would think dwight would be more likely to wanna come here if rondo is here instead of paul. every player knows that rondo thrives when is passing the ball, whereas paul loves to sometimes takeover the games by scoring. wouldnt dwight rather wanna play with a guy who he knows is consistently going to look for him every play? this could be said not just about dwight, but really any young superstar in the league.

I'd want to seriously think about Paul's physical condition before that deal.  When we saw Paul at his best against the Lakers, he was clearly a better player than Rondo.  But we also saw that Paul could not come close to sustaining that production over 6 games.  If the Paul we saw this year in the regular season and the playoff is the Paul we're going to see from now on, there's no way he's worth Rondo and the Clippers pick.
