When you make a deal with the devil, he can miraculously heal you. But Kobe will pay one day for that deal  ;D
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

People forget about a guy who was in a wheelchair and then came back later the SAME NIGHT and bringing it?

Or is it because of the laundry?

Beat me to the punch. I was just going to post the same exact thing. As for Kobe, he is one tough guy who has played through almost every injury he has had. Sometimes I guess it is hard to see through the Kobe hate.

Exactly.  Kobe actually is a pretty tough dude.  Guy has played 82 games 3 of the past 4 seasons.
do it

Kobe does like the attention. He knew almost immediately how bad his ankle felt, and that it wouldn't really be a problem for him going forward, with about a day off and a bit of relaxing.

I also believe that he was secretly looking to fall back on his ankle as an excuse should a loss have occurred yesterday. He would never own up to his wanting people to believe that's the reason for the loss or his performance, but the media saying it for him would be just fine all the same, and pretty much achieve the same desired result.

Delonte's playing with a similar injury, and a wrist that's not 100%
Thank You Delonte's playing on an injured ankle and semi healed wrists. No he's not playing as well or extremely well as Kobe, but he's not sitting down.

And the reason why he's playing so well is because his injury is not as bad as the media made it out to be. He injured his ankle, but it wasn't game missing similar to Rose's. The media took a picture of him in crutches and made more drama and speculation than what was true. The story tomorrow would be something never done before with the usual suspects kissing the ground he walks on. I dont think he faked an injury nor do I think he faked the crutches, but I do think the media overreacted and made it more than what it was.

Lol when did Rose sit out? Definitely not in Game 5. He wasn't even taken out when he had 4 fouls early in the 3rd quarter, the perfect excuse to take anyone out, let alone someone with an injury.
I didn't mean that they faked an injury.  Truthfully Kobe could have both legs amputated and still would fight to play no matter what heck he would fight to practice. Rose the same way and to me no matter what team you play for or what you do outside of work I still respect that. I think overall the media overreacted and made it more than what it was. It wasn't life altering nor was it a game missing injury to them, but the media wanted to add extra suspense and drama to both their injuries when they weren't that bad and honestly, neither would miss a playoff game if their life depended on it. Their teams rely on them, those wins were needed, and it would hurt Kobe and Derrick more than anything right now emotionally to not even participate because they love to play that much.

I'm a die-hard C's fan and a Lakers hater.

That said, Kobe plays with more heart than almost anyone else in the league (with exception to KG). He has a killer instinct quite similar to MJ. He loves the game and does not view it as simply a "job" or "paycheck". He is still the best active player in the NBA. He also knows that this may be his last championship run.

The fact that he plays through severe injuries in the same way that Pierce does forces me to respect his game.

However, I still don't have to respect him as a person.

How can the guy hurt his ankle/foot the way he did 2 days ago and come back and play how he is playing tonight? And, why does it seem that none of our guys can come back like that? I know Shaq Is older and heavier, but I am amazed at how long he has been out. And, I am even more amazed when I see what Kobe can do.

I've hurt my foot many times and played fine. When your a player, especially the best basketball player on the planet, minor injuries like that loosen up as the game goes on. Competitors kind of forget the injuries halfway through the game and you feel 100% normal.

PLUS.

Why do you think he refused an MRI? Because he was afraid someone was gonna tell him he couldnt play? Who in the world is going to tell Kobe Bryant he can't play. Kobe didn't want the MRI because he knew the injury wasn't bad and he wanted to look like a hero, and we all know thats 100% true.
