Rajon Rondo foul on Landry Fields in Game 3 of #Celtics - #Knicks series was upgraded to Flagrant 1. He has 1 point. 4 = 1-game suspension

  • Rondo = Good
His foul was so unbelievably flagrant that I simply don't remember it.

I recall a hard foul on Fields and saying to myself watch them call it a Flagrant. Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what it was or even when, but I vaguely remember some borderline foul.

Whatever, not a big deal as I wouldn't expect him to accumulate many more Flagrants (unless we face the Hawks and Hinrich in the ECF lol).

I wonder if Washburn meant the foul on Fields from Delonte, not Rondo. I remember THAT foul pretty clearly from Game 3, and if I remember correctly West got a T for standing over Fields afterward and Stoudemire reacted and got either a T or a Flagrant foul himself

I'm pretty sure it was Rondo.

And the more replays they showed of the Delonte play you're referring to, the less I thought it was even a foul. It looked like a clean block. He may have stood over him a tad too long, but I don't think he was staring at Fields. I don't think he received a T for that, it was for the scuffle with Amar'e after.

Same with me.I remember some foul by Rondo on Fields thinking the same thing but don't really recall what happened exactly.

I don't remember Knicks players complaining that much though or even D'antoni. The fans weren't even that angry about it

I think it was a foul in which Rondo simply pushed Fields with no play in the ball.

I don't remember for certain, like everyone else.  That said I do remember a play, probably in game 3, where Rondo undercut someone on a fast break and JVG wanted a flagrant called, but nothing was.  I don't know the rules about undercutting, but I remember thinking that if undercutting was worthy of a flagrant, then he should have gotten one, because it did seem a little dangerous.

It's the right call, but a pretty weak flagrant. Seems like a normal playoff foul to me.

In 1987, it would be.

Actually at the time I thought it wasn't a flagrant, but if landry fields were Rondo's size, it would've looked like attempted murder.

I don't know how that factors into things, but c'est vrai.
