The Heat are a much better team with him in the lineup. I know people are skeptical of a guy coming off nearly an entire lost season being able to contribute, but lots of players have been able to get going after an injury after just a game or so. This is a guy who dropped 20 and 10 or something like that earlier in the season. Just curious, what are your thoughts? Not something we should be worried about?

Is Haslem any closer to a return?

He's supposedly been practicing and is trying to return in round 2.

I'm a huge fan of Haslem.  No doubt they'll send him out there if he's capable of playing, but who knows what he can give until he tries it.
Yup

Wow ; that's a deadly blow if he is able to go at anywhere near 100%

He will not help. He has missed nearly the whole season, I mean we know what he is capable of, but I wouldnt expect much of him. I think Mike Miller has more potential to come off an injury and be a factor

If Chalmers and Anthony start again, having Haslem back makes them look like the Lakers. Good starting lineup, spotty bench with one good productive guy (if Haslem plays remotely well. Regardless, as long our bench scores against them, it won't matter.

Haslem just had his first back to back practices today. Unscathed.

Appearently, Haslem + Spoelstra + medical trainers will be discussing the next step in his comeback and possibly setting a date for his return to game action over the next couple of days. Until then, no timetable for his return.

They are so thin up front there is no way he could not help if hes able to play.

Miller? He adds depth to a team that doesnt have any at all. He would clearly be there best bench player and he can shoot 3's if he is on. Id rather him not play

Whether or not Miller plays is a wash. He's been awful all year and I don't expect that to change. Even if he does play, all that will do is cut into James Jones' minutes, who's been playing pretty well off the bench for them lately.

So Haslem won't help because he has missed most of the year, but Shaq will be a huge asset to the Celtics if he plays, even though he has missed most of the year and has played a total of 5 minutes in the last 3 months  ???

This team knows perfectly well how to play Udonis Haslem, we've done it before.

I don't know about helping or not, but Shaq would have an easier time having a positive impact in the game than Haslem regardless of amount of time missed just because of who they are, their roles, the way they play.
