I have to schedule my tutoring for next week tomorrow and I was hoping someone might have an educated guess as to what nights the games would be on.  I want to take game nights off but can't afford to take every night off just in case.

Last series was Sun, Tues, Fri for the Celtics but some teams did Sun, Wed, Fri.

Anyone have any educated guesses as to what nights the games will be on next week?

I recall the schedule condenses in second round, because they can get all the series in, whereas in round 1, with 8 series they have to spread out.

No idea what that will mean for scheduling.

As long as it's not back to back, Boston's in good shape. My guess is that we'll have game one on Saturday - just a guess.

MIA beats PHI on Wed, then gets 2 days off to play us on Sat.

You'll get a better sense after the Bruins clinch tonight although its still up for grabs whether or not they'll have home ice in their next series or not.  However, that'll be determined tonight also with the Philly/Buffao game.

Monday is your safest night to take off, I believe. A lot of this depends on the Boston Bruins also. Then again, some NBA series especially in the WC will get stretched in the 1st round. I see DAL vs PDX, SAS vs MEM, and LAL vs NOLA all going 7 games.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Assumming Philly/Mia doesn't go 7, the C's will be playing Sunday.

They could play Tue/Thurs/Sun, but I doubt they rush it considering it will probably be the first second-round series to start.

I'd guess Sun/Wed/Fri.

I would actually speculate a Sun-Tues-Fri-Sun schedule.  You would have to think that this will be the marquee series and to me, that schedule would fit since it gives and extra day when travelling.

Thanks for the input.   The Sun Tues Fri does make sense for the extra day to travel.  But I was thinking they may give an extra day between each game because there are only 4 series going instead of 8 and they want to stretch them out a bit.

It really depends upon the other series, if MIA, ATL and CHI all win game 5, then I can see us playing on Saturday since the NBA likes to put a lot of games on Saturdays. If Philly wins game 5, then we will probably play on Sunday at the earliest.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is a promoter at the Greatest Bar.  He said that the Bruins have rights to all home games on Friday nights so the celtics will not have a home game on a Friday night during the playoffs.  I remember him being p---ed about it because he promotes on Friday nights and will never get a celtics playoff home game that night.  So, if he is indeed correct, Game 3 will definitely be on either Thursday or Saturday, given a game 1 on Sunday.

I remember this specifically, because it has actually been the opposite the past few seasons during the regular season where the celtics have the rights to friday night games and the bruins on saturday (i'm guessing so they can opt to have afternoon games?).

What if the Bruins don't advance?

Or if the Sabres wins, the Bruins would likely be in Buffalo by next Friday for Game 3/4.

Sunday is a lock for the C's, unless the Sixers push the series to 7 (which is currently slated for that Sunday). Even if they go 6 and play Friday, the NBA will want that matchup beginning on a Sunday instead of a Monday/Tuesday night.

No series will be more interesting than this upcoming one (of course, assuming Miami advances).

And the travel days don't really matter, it's like a 3-hour flight with no time-zone changes.

Unfortunately we won't know the full schedule until all the series are done.

Yes like many already stated a Sun-Tues-Fri-Sun for games 1-4 sounds about right.

Remember that ABC has a double header on Sunday whether they are game 7's of round 1 or game 1's of round 2 so I would imagine the Celtics vs. Heat would be Sunday 3:30 game 1
Let's Go Celtics!!

If the Miami series ends in 6 or less, first game will be on Sunday according to Washburn.
