Lakers-Hornets series proves Lakers won't make it to the Finals

Using that bizarre logic....The first two games of the Knicks  series prove we won't go to the Finals.

Through 4 games, Celtics are relaxing
Lakers are 2-2. If Lakers have trouble with a team of this caliber, they have no chance

Again, using the bizarre logic of this thread name...You don't think that us basically stealing 2 games at home from a team that would have little or no chance against a team of the Hornets' caliber in a playoff...Means that we have no chance?
The Hornets are a better team...And way better coached than the team we salvaged the first two games from.

I don't think either is true.  I'm just following the logic of the thread name.

TP, thats a good point
What my views on this is that Lakers aren't as good they were the past 2 years. Their bench is way worse, which forces the starting 5 to play more minutes. The bigs look tired and worn out, not performing well all series

The Hornets are a good team, but OKC, Memphis, and Dallas are better. To me, I don't see the Lakers beating those teams

But they probably are, and will be favored against any of them if only for HCA.

I'd be shocked if the winner of tonight's game doesn't win the series. If it becomes a closeout game for them, I think the Hornets will be too amped to lose at home in Game 6, but they can't win a Game 7 in LA IMO.
