Round 1 - SWEEP! though everybody expected the Celtics to win, the injuries to Billups and Amare surely helped a lot. At least we get to rest for at least a week while watching the Miami chokefest!  ;D
Though the Knicks series was surprisingly easy, we could surely have used the services of Shaq.. But i bet Doc and DA felt we never needed him anyway so it was best to rest him.. I do believe he's ready to play but we're reserving him for the next round vs. the Heat.. So do you guys think Shaq's really injured or they're just resting him for the bigger games?

That last line of the vid, there - "The World may never know" ;D

But seriously I expect to see him sooner than later. Boston taking care of business today can only help to give him more rest.

My magic 8 ball says there is good reason to think so.

I think he could probably play if he had to, but you run the risk of re-injury.  I think you can get by Miami without him. (Obviously would be better with him).  But I think if you only have a few bullets in the chamber, you see how you do against Miami at least for a few games, and if you can possibly save him for the ECF and Finals (obviously god willing), that would be ideal.

I would think so, though we haven't had any real update on him since a week ago, so we really don't know where he is at health wise other than Doc saying "he's closer".

I'm still of the mindset that he wont play again this season until I see otherwise...

I expect to see him. I don't think the team is being coy. I believe them when they say he hasn't passed his running test. You can't play defense with a center who can't run back to play defense. But I don't see this keeping him out a full 2 more weeks.

I suspect that even if he doesn't fully heal, he will be able to gut it out when truly needed since there isn't much of a point in holding him out for more important games.

He has a whole week to rest up and prove himself. I think he'll be good to go.
