I realy am dissapointed by Doug Collins and what he is doing with the mindset of the 76ers.

As a commentator Collins totally worshipped Lebron and he has carried it over into his coaching. His attitude with the 76ers, a young team has basically been, you cant beat these guys but you can cause a dent.

Its disgraceful. Kudos to him to getting them to the playoffs but I would fire Doug Collins, if only for stunting the mindsets of a young team by his hero worshipping of their opponent.

Sad.

I disagree.

I love what he is doing with this team. They clearly arent talented, and cant tie the Heats shoes, but he has them playing great basketball. Heck, they should have at least 1 or 2 games in this series. Ive seen alot of his interviews and has them having fun, there a young, inexpierienced team and the only way they are going to win is to play basketball without fear, and thats what he has them doing.

He knows that his team is not going to beat the Heat. It's clearly a learning experience for them. But it's not like their team hasn't been playing well or hard. I don't think he should be fired at all. I mean- what has really changed roster wise between this years 76ers compared to last years? And yet, they were the 7th seed this year.

He's still got a little bit of that announcer in him where he heaps praise. You can tell he misses it and he lets it spill over to press conferences a little. still a great coach though

Just look at the difference between last years Sixers and this year's.  Very little personnel difference.

Collins has done a brilliant job at implementing Brand with a team that he really doesn't fit.

The difference is coaching.

Collins has been great this year.
