Just wondering because Ray is probably very close to it if he hasn't broken it yet. If I'm correct he is 15/20 from 3 in 3 games! I don't know where to find the stat so if you know it, please share your knowledge!

Probably ridiculously high if you're talking about a 4 game sample size.

You'd have to specify a certain number of 3pt FG attempts otherwise I'm sure there are end of bench players that have gone a playoff series without missing from behind the arc.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Yeah I'm of course talking about the record over a certain number of attempts. I think 20 shots in 3 games is a high enough number for the "real" record though.

Yeah but there's no universal number for attempts to qualify for that stat is what I meant.

I checked Wiki and they used at least 2 per game.  The record is 85.7% by Muggsy Bogues (6 of 7) if you go back to 3 game series (minimum of 6 attempts) in 1997.

The record in 4 games (8 minimum) is 81.8% by Bob Hansen in 1988 but it doesn't say how many he hit.

EDIT:

If you're talking about only 8 shots minimum Ray has no chance of breaking this as he has taken way too many shots already, even if he went 10-10 next game (he'd probably have to go at least 15-15)

He'd only have a chance if the series went to 6 or 7 games in which case he wouldn't be able to miss any more 3s (or just not take any).

Also Danny holds the record for a 6 game series as a Sun with 66.7% vs the Bulls.  My guess would be he went 8-12.

I think Fisher shot 15-20 in 4 games against the spurs in the 2001 playoffs.

Doesn't answer your question but I saw this on ESPN Stats and Info, thought it was pretty cool:

Quote
Ray Allen is making it rain. He now has seven 3-pt FG, his 7th playoff game with at least 7 threes. All other active players have combined EIGHT such games. Chauncey Billups is the only other player with two such games.

Most Playoff Games with 7 3-pt FG
Active Players
Ray Allen 7
Chauncey Billups 2
Jason Richardson 1
Stephen Jackson 1
LeBron James 1
Raja Bell 1
Paul Pierce 1

Ray is cold-blooded.

I don't know, but I love when Ray is hot. I was in LA with my family and every time he made a shot I just kept smiling and looking at my family. They were angry and didn't say anything, they just kept their mouths shut saying he's only getting lucky.

Thanks for the research and answer, TP!

If JO keeps setting screens like this Ray and Paul are gonna go nuts this whole playoffs. Pierce is destroying Melo right now and Allen's goin bonkers. Let's keep this up and break records
