Honestly, Krstic is awful right now and doesn't match up with anyone
This is just a bad series for Nenad Krstic.

He shouldn't even be on the court against this Knicks team. Not with Jermaine taking up all the minutes against Ronny Turiaf. Doc is doing him a disservice.

This series is not a good indicator of Krstic's ability to be a contributor in future rounds against teams with ... a more typical big men that he can matchup against in that second unit ... I wouldn't read too much into Krstic's performances against the Knicks.

Next series will be a new beginning and a better opportunity for him to play quality basketball.

Kristic is still lost out there because he apparently does not understand the most basic fundamentals of team man-to-man defense. he is constantly out of position and when he happens to find the right spot, he is way to soft to stop anyone. can you imagine what Bynum would do to this guy ? i suppose, though, that Kristic and Gasol could compare their respective collection of panties after the game.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

tenn_smootthie - Nenad did play well in OKC vs LA last playoffs...he didn't play bad, at all.

He will be productive for us.

The way that Rondo is playing right now?

MIA (or the NBA, in general) has no answer for THIS Rajon.

He's playing (right now) like he wants to make Sports Illustrated's cover for the 2nd May in a row.

Since the Knicks traded their team for Melo... the went 14-13...  Just barely above .500.  That team is garbage.  Take away Chauncey Billups and give Amare a back injury... and it's utterly disgusting that we almost lost game 2 to that joke of a franchise.   Game 3 we end up beating them by 17 points without Billups and Amare running at 30%...   It was a nice win, but can't read too much into it.  The Knicks are horrible. Should have blown them out by 50. The Heat and Bulls are contenders.  Different animal entirely.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I know a lot has been made of the shaq injury( and rightly so) , but I am pretty sure the C's will be in the NBA Finals. It's all about matchups in the playoffs and the C's have an advantage in almost every series.

Kristic will match up perfectly with Big Z and JO and BBD can hold down the center spot for the rest of the time. I do think we will need Shaq against Chicago and LA , but until then I think the C's will be able to get by.

I think a lot of people on this board and in the media don't think the C's have anything left and they are getting too old, but this is a team full of champions and big game experience. Do not underestimate this team, they will make you look silly in the end!

Personally, I think it comes down to defense. Once every 2 or 3 games, the Celtics Big 4 will rock out and get it done.

But those rest of the games, its gonna come down to whether or not the Celtics defense can hold the other team low enough so that the anemic (without the Big 4 working correctly) offense can get enough points (typically 90) to win.

Its gonna be a (heck) of a ride.

Well, for those of us (me included at times), that claim that the media doesn't give Boston much love, just tune into NBATV.

Rick Kamla, Dennis Scott, and Jerry Stackhouse were giving us much love tonight, and Dennis Scott called us the "C" word - especially when Rondo plays like that.

Kristic is bizarro kg. He makes the four other guys on the court WORSE at defense. He's awful. He causes our defense to always be a step behind.

He often does a very good job hedging on the pick and roll because he is very mobile. He just brings no shotblocking or intimidation in the lane.

I also fear Miami over Chicago. No question.Miami is so much better now that Wade is the primary ball handler and Lebron is cool with it. I hate them, but they're playing great.

I actually thought Kristic was particulary bad on the hedging and getting back to his man.

I agree. I remember at least two times when he was switched out to a perimeter guy and thus out near the 3-point line, and he seemed to hold his ground just fine. Clearly Krstic is just being scapegoated.

So when it's a close game we suck because we didn't blow them out and when its a blowout they suck.

We are not playing with a full roster either. We've had our share of injuries.

Granted our bench didn't play great, but green played a bit better. There were more positives
to take away than negatives.

And to think we did this w/o perk. I guess our guys are over the breakup.
Back to wanting Joe fired.
