sticks and stones
may break bones but KG always settles for jumpers instead of taking it inside because it's too rough in there.

I think it was written by Perk

A punk and a coward hides behind anonymity.

Come out and say it with reporters in front of you. Congrats, you'll say it to his face when? When you are playing? I'm sure that's after KG has already said much worse to you.

And who cares if KG can or is willing to fight? This is basketball. As far as I can see, he is simply playing mind games. Mind games create advantages. Fights create ejections and suspensions. Considering there are very few players of KG's caliber, that's not an even trade.

I also don't know how true it is that everyone not on his team hates him. I think he's a pretty well-respected player because of who he is off the court. I'm sure guys like Duncan and even Kobe don't. People who are on his level respect him. Scrubs like CV and Noah can hate all they want, because they couldn't shine his shoes at the end of the day.

I think it's somehow coming from Phil Jackson via a current player he duped into saying it

Sounds like an irony turducken.

Yikes. Calling Joakim Noah a scrub is, well, a bit of an undersell of his abilities at the very least.

It's so funny how this stuff won't die.

I'm onboard with those who stated that whoever wrote this is rather cowardly themselves.

Attach your name to it.

Kevin Garnett is the one of the main reasons why we are still in contention - no matter who wrote the article.

It is too funny, though, that this is resurfacing now. I guess this is what the 2nd ranked NBA Defensive Player of The Year has to deal with ;D.

I'm glad KG is on our team.

It's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure Frost himself said,

But I want one more point to keep.
From miles away I swish from deep.
From miles away I swish from deep."

There was some pretty good evidence that last season's "Player X" was Ray Allen.

But, in all fairness, if we see something 'well written', I kind of assume Ray Allen, Shane Battier, or Grant Hill wrote it. When I read 'The Road Not Taken', I assumed it was by Ray Allen until someone told me it was by a guy named Robert Frost.

Sure but can robert Frost hit a game winning 3 with no time remaining?  No.  He is more of a mid range jump shooter.

Actually not true.  It's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure Frost himself said,

"The lane is lovely, dark and deep.
But I want one more point to keep.
From miles away I swish from deep.
From miles away I swish from deep."

:D

I don't know how I missed that one, but well played.

Kg is a coward? No, KG is a passionate, respected NBA first ballot HOF. Nice try though, I can't wait til it is comes out and it is some scrub. I highly doubt this person will say it to his face.

I think all these guys claiming KG picks on lesser and more fragile players are right on.  But I think they are missing the point.  They think he is just being a "coward", however, I think he is just being smart.  He picks on the guys who he knows it is going to work on.  He will get in Villanueva and Gasol's head, and try to get Noah to fight back.  But, he won't do the same thing with mentally tough guys like Kobe or Duncan.  Its not because he is afraid of them, it is just because he knows it will do more harm than good.

Yes, KG is a bully.  And bully's pick on weaker kids.  If they were to pick on the kids who will fight back, their pockets wouldn't be filled with lunch money.

Its not exactly an endearing quality, and not something I would like to see from my son (if I had one), but as an emotional leader on my team, I am glad he is a bully, because bully's win.

To be fair to KG, you seem to admit KG's not trying to pick fights as he is trying to get into people's heads, but schoolyard bullies in comparison may not necessarily be that smart or tactical; they just usually beat the stuffing out of someone who won't give up lunch money. Not to mention KG's not really a bully off the court, either. I'd be proud of my son (if I had one) if he got into people's heads on the basketball court that way, but wasn't as much of a "mental bully" off of it. Just saying.

He is a decent player, some may even consider him good (I certainly think he is overrated), but in the grand scheme of things KG is an ALL-TIME great, and these other guys flapping their gums aren't even All-Stars.

They come off as bitter. He's obviously gotten into their heads on more than one occasion.

What is with these cry babies?  Is this the WNBA?!?!?!  Seems like it the way they don't let any of this drama go.  Have none of these idiots heard of the first rule of basketball?

Leave it on the court.

Do these guys (Noah, CV, Frye, Player X, etc.) really think any of the stuff Kevin Garnett says to them during the game is personal?  What are they taking offense about?

Also apparently Doc Rivers is a liar.

Is it Channing Frye that wrote this? Isn't he a wing and him and KG had a falling out.

I doubt its Channing Frye. I think FWF was right on, def a wing player.
I think it could be literally anybody.  I'd bet there are very few players in the league who haven't been on the receiving end of Kevin Garnett smack talk.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
